I watched it last night for the first time in probably 20 years.
It blew me away.
The parody has actually become reality.
Intellectually hilarious, realistically frightening.
I hope my little boy chooses a skilled trade, and steers clear of the shite show that college has become.

How do you know what college has become?

My wife graduated in May.
I've lived in Athens for 17 of the last 21 years.
What point are you trying to make?

That college for the average student is nothing like that movie.

Not to that extreme, but there are definitely some colleges like that. Most are small though

He does this, and he's your typical UGA fan.

Wealthy, debt-free, productive member of society?

How many millenials here have actually seen the movie?

I actually used a tip from this movie in real life: No classes before 11. When I made my schedule every semester I never scheduled classes before 11 and it was because of PCU.
Glad you posted this, I haven't thought about that movie in a long time.

Comedy Central aired it like thrice a week in the 90s. If you grew up with cable, you knew David Spade could be a prick. Saw it at entirely too young an age, in like second grade, but I already knew who George Clinton was at that point, so maybe not

AKA, the types of jobs that are currently being eliminated by machines with AI? Solid choice.

Eh, there are still plenty of skilled trade jobs that aren't going anywhere for awhile they can draw a lot of money because there is a high demand for them at the moment.

Self employed plumbers gross $300k a year. AI is nowhere close to being able to do that. There's dozens of other examples.
Engineers (structural, network, electrical, chemical) are being outsourced to H1B engineers from India who are twice as educated and work for half the money.
Just fyi.
