I tried Warzone and didn't like it. It feels a lot like Battlefield's version of Battle Royale. I think COD Black Ops 4 Blackout is a better Battle Royale.
Personally, I'm more of an Apex Legends guy. It has a way better and more fair respawn system than Warzone.

I tried as a survivor first. What happened was the killer got me pretty quick and threw me on the hook and one of my teammates would come pull me off and then the killer would be waiting around a corner or pounce out of nowhere and I would never make it more than like 30 seconds before they had me there again. This repeated until I was dead.
Then I tried being a killer and tried to do the same shite to them, but they were way sneakier and worked as a team so even tho I was faster than them I could never get the same one enough times in a row to kill them. And the game went on way too long til those frickers finally built their little generator and beat me

I’m a really good gunfight player but pretty average at war zone.

I am so goddamn tired of getting matched up with the worst teammates in Rec League that I'm even willing to play with a 6'0" 160 lb SG as long as you can actually pass.
If I could just find a good PG and a good C to work with consistently it wouldn't even matter about the other two teammates, we could run most games in the Rec

I mean yeah I am a good teammate.
Unfortunately I've played almost all NBA games. I've only spent about 40 minutes in MyPark this year. I'll play some more this week, and see if I can get some work in.

If you're in the actual Park, like playing the 3 on 3 games and shite, the only learning curve should just be style of play. Park difficulty is set to Pro, which is what the default on MyCareer is, so should be a smooth transition skill-wise.
Rec League difficulty is set to Hall of Fame though, so that takes some adjustment if you're not used to it.
ETA:
Honestly I think it sounds like your players build would be good for the Park, as long as you use him right and play to his strengths
Definitely doesn't sound like the ideal Rec League build, but a skilled player could still do some work. It's always in how you use your player, knowing what theirs strengths and weaknesses are

Packet loss is internet based. It’s that little hiccup in your internet connection where videos drop quality or games stutter

This has never happened to me in Apex, but it happened to me mid game in 2k last week
I was in a Rec League game and was with the best group of randoms I had ever been matched with. 4/5 of us in a party with mics, cool arse dudes and good players that worked well together. Even the one dude who wasn't in the party was cooperating and playing well with us. We were wrecking a team, up by over 40 in the 3rd. I was having a good game, already over my average in points, rebounds, and assists, then BAM next thing I know I'm looking at the main menu of 2k and I hear "why'd Bowl quit? Guess he doesn't want in on all these dubs we're about to get" and I got dropped from the party before I could get my mic back on and say anything
