Give him the chair.

I don't agree with this suspension but is it possible this act could be seen as a threatening gesture and that is the reason foe the suspension.? It seems more likely than kids getting suspended for playing a game of some sort.

It seems more likely that if this was the case, "Threatening another student" would have been the reason given to the parents for the suspension, wouldn't you say?
The suspension "referral" didn't mention threatening, it said "exposing other students to Level 2 look alike firearm".
Level 2 GODDAMNIT, Don't you get it, this is 1 step away from level 3 look alike firearm, which is pointing a banana and making "pew pew pew" noises. This isn't a Goddamn game sir.

I work at an elementary school and see kids all the time do this from k-5. Stupid as shite to suspend a kid over this.
How do you feel about a thumb throat slash?

This isn't even in the same ballpark.

Assuming the levels go up in severity, I'm wondering what a level 1 look alike firearm is if finger pointing is a level 2? Holding your arm out for a handshake because it has the potential of developing into a level 2 look alike?

Either that or the
hand gesture.

That's the equivalent of a finger gun switchblade.
