I have dipped Copenhagen on and off for many years. As a combat soldier in an Abrams tank for 20 years, it was always something to throw in your mouth and no problems. Also being a tanker, you were always outside in the motor pool or whatever so you could always throw a dip in.

I quit a week ago because they raised the price to $8.50 per can. I have an addictive personality, so I can't moderate it. It's either dip about 1.5 cans per day or quit cold turkey. If I could put in like 3 dips a day, I would never care to quit.

It's easier for me to go through the withdrawals for a week from quitting cold turkey than it is to have the self control to "moderate" usage.

Try the lozenges. Just supliment them at first. Like every other dip and see of it takes.

It really is mind over matter when it comes down to it.

Quit a little over one year ago. Hard core smoker. Here’s what I learned…

- Took 3 weeks for me to become use to not smoking.
- Took 2 months for me to go through a day without thinking about smoking.
- Getting drunk is the hardest. You have to commit to never having any smoke in your lungs.
- I quit by exercising every time I wanted a cigarette. Got me back in shape.
- I had to change my entire lifestyle to quit. It’s not easy.
- And again, getting drunk really makes you want to smoke. Be strong dude.
- not smoking has put money in my pocket, I get more blow jobs from the wife, and I can wear a shirt more times than once because it doesn't smell. It’s worth it man… stay strong and I wish you the best!

My brother told me about his friend who didn't believe that a person smells awful from smoking. The smokers can't seem to sell the odor. After he quit smoking, he was shocked to finally smell the awful smell. One other thing about quit smoking is you shouldn't be in a room when others are smoking. Like in a bar or at a party. Also, your friends and family members that smoke need to quit too in order for you to be successful in quitting smoking or you need to stay away from those people who still smoke.

The ZYN pouches have been a real game changer for me. I used to be a social smoker and then got into vaping. Haven't touched either in months. I start on the 6mg pouches at first and then moved down to the 3mg pouches without really even noticing any side effect. I've gotten to the point where I'll pop one in as more of a stimulant in the morning, after lunch, and wrapping up the work day rather than depending on them constantly

Good luck - i statred smoking 15 years ago in highscool. Tried to quit a few times witj no avail.

Was able to get into the vape bs full time about 5 years ago which is definitely an improvement but still not ideal.

There are plenty of options for weaning yourself off the incredibly addictive power of nicotine. Withdrawal is different for each person. Stick with a program for six weeks and you’ll see results.

It will take longer to be completely free of this addiction because your brain has to adjust. Stick with it. You’ll be extremely glad you did.

I've held strong for about a month now, but my dreams have been getting crazy about it. Always wake up in a cold sweat because I'm having a dream of smoking again and become totally convinced I failed myself. Cut back on drinking so I don't get wasted and reach for one.

I can’t emphasize enough how important it is for you to begin a cancer monitoring program with your health care service. The suggested age for most people is 45-50 but you have a mitigating circumstance. Quit dipping now and start the program. You can still live happily to an old age.

I quit dipping about 7 years ago. I quit cold turkey and it sucked for about a week or two.

The crazy part about it is I would have dreams about dipping then wake up ashamed of myself until I realized it was a dream. This happened several times over a year or 2 period.

Nope. I am also not shitting on the guy trying to better himself. There is a reason you are a perennial TD bottom feeder.
