Get a Toyota Camry. It's efficient, boring, and the best bang for your buck. Otherwise stick with a truck.

I like my Jeep.
Black '14 Grand Cherokee. Think it's one handsome and practical vehicle. Not overdone in any area. Decently efficient.
Had a box one back in the day. Had pathfinders. Like this car the most of all my previous rides.
You can save by not going all in with the screen and leather.

Some of the worst reviews of SUV's

Nissan SUV's have the worst reviews in regards to SUV's.
I'm partial to Toyota.
4runner or Rav4 if you want SUV
Camry if you want Sedan.

Idk why, but I've fallen in love with Jeep Wranglers. Some damn solid deals out there, and hardly anyone seems to regret buying one. Have already decided that'll be my next ride when the time comes.
Just not in a hurry since my suburban is paid off and we just bought Aggiebelle a new whip recently

Pre '13. A lot of changes throughout company and ownership.
Toyota's are nice. Like Tacoma and 4Runner a lot.

Also most awarded.
My wife a '14. Had less problems than my last car and current one combined. Plus, I can get nearly 30 mpg on the highway.
Her's is a Limited. Plenty nice enough inside.

I've owned a a 4Runner(2010 model) and a Tacoma(2004). Got them both used with around 50k on them. Put over 100,000 miles on both of them and I still feel like I could have easily put another 75,000 miles on both of them. Traded the 4Runner for a 2015 Silverado(which ended up being a lemon) and then got a 16 silverado and it's already had 5 recalls on it. Neither of my toyotas did. Only work I ever did to them was oil changes and brake pads.

My wife has a Honda CRV and it's a great car.
I just bought a used 2016 Merc CLA for the same price as a Honda Accord. If you want luxury cars, they can be had used with like 20K miles, it's crazy.
This is where I found mine LINK

Toyota Tacoma
Historically speaking this is a solid choice (I had 1 for 9 1/2 yrs) BUT with the new power plant I'm not sure that buying the 1st production is a good idea. I'd wait a year or so to see what problems (if any) the new Tacoma has.
