This is Bo. He's a 2 year old chocolate lab that was surrendered. The previous owners couldn't keep up with him and I lucked out. I have always wanted a chocolate lab and this guy is a horse!
He doesn't give a shite about any of my tools. It doesn't phase him at all. I'm going to be so damn bummed in 10 years.

Once I get him to stop instigating shite with other dogs he will be perfect. He’s leash trained but will haul arse if he gets out. It shouldn’t be too bad. He’s good with my kids so that’s a huge plus.

I don’t feel like renaming him. He responds to it so it’s whatever.
It should be “Beaux” for this site

A lot of times when dogs act like that they're picking up on something from the owner. If he's sweet and gentle with kids then he's not aggressive, just protective.
If an owner goes out anticipating their dog to bark and lunge at other dogs, and you tense up on the leash anytime you cross paths with another dog then they sense that and feel you pull on the leash and they act accordingly.
My dog was like that bad to the point where my ex was scared to take him out because she wasn't strong enough to hold him back.
We broke that behavior by bringing him to dog parks and letting him off the leash to run around and play with the other dogs freely, and also to show that we weren't worried about other dogs. That was also to help ease the ex's fears because she thought he was just aggressive.
Also, a lot of large dog breeds aren't really "adults" until about age 3, and that's when a lot of them begin to mellow out and chill when it comes to things like that.
Between him growing up and some good training with a good owner he should be fine IMO

I also happen to think Bo is one of the best dog names there is

Labs are the best. I had one that she should have had gills as much as she liked water. Would do any and everything for you. She (as I have found pretty much all Labs to be) was nothing but a pleaser dog. Best type dogs ever.

Good looking pup! My family and I are seeking to get a chocolate lab ourselves.

I had to put down my English chocolate a few days before his 10th birthday due kidney disease. Little man is always on my mind. I say that to say I am very much looking forward to my next chocolate...:not yellow, not black, only chocolate.

We used to have a lab. He was a super dog, but dumb as a brick.
