True but still overall there are some absolutely gorgeous women up here. Per capita, southern college towns blow all towns out of the water.

The problem with Manhattan girls is you have a pretty high chance of talking to a girl that first looks at your shoes, then your watch, then your face.

Bottom line: If you're looking to casually date or have one night stands, Manhattan is your Mecca. If you're looking for love or actual connections, you have a better chance of finding a legal assault rifle in the hands of a civilian. Possible but not likely.

Funny expect NYC has some of the hottest women on the planet

I'll take a southern girl over a New Yorker in terms of looks and personality any day of the week, and I lived there for 2 years.

The hot girls who live in NYC are not from NYC, and for the most part aren't even from the North.

I don't care where they're FROM. NYC is a transient city. I care about what I see/meet on a day-to-day basis.

Yea i know man. The women in New York City are absolutely beautiful. From all over the world. All this "fat yaneke girl" crap is very humorous.

Manhattan has a great collection of hot chicks. It's not quite like the bar from "How I Met Your Mother", but it is the only place not in the South or on the West Coast that can compete in terms of number of quality hotties. However, that being said, Manhattan gets destroyed by the South in per capita hotties. That honor goes to Lafayette, LA.

explain the parking situation to me, I've turned down jobs in NYC because I'm pretty sure I can't live w/o my cars. One of my friends pays 850 a month for each of her parking spaces in her building.

850 just for rent would make me nervous.

You really don't need a car in Manhattan or Downtown Brooklyn though.

Multiply that by 3-4 in NYC

It's actually pretty awesome being car-free. I'm saving $500-700 a month from what's was paying for my truck plus insurance and gas in TX. I just made sure to pick an apartment that was close to the subway. That's pretty key. You don't want to walk 15 minutes in the cold rain.

You can get parking for wayyyy less than $850/month. But I actually think it's just a waste of money. Subway is faster 9/10 times and you can take plenty of cabs with your cost savings.

Are there auto storage facilities like we have down here, basically mini storage for cars? I'd have to have my BKO for trips to the beach or out to woods to hike, kayak, bike, or whatever.

I'm not sure. You could always store it out in Long Island or jersey, which would definitely be cheaper.
