My dad says that the only SEC school that wasn't completely liberal in the 1960s was Texas A&M.

Well, A&M wasn't in the SEC back then of course. A&M was a low enrollment all male military/ag school until about mid decade. So it was obviously different than any most any other place. Those guys were going to the war.

Most of the other schools had people trying to KEEP from going to the war.

But relatively speaking... I don't think SEC schools back then outside of maybe Texas were "liberal" like schools in the east, midwest or west coast were.

The issue is you had the woke uprising with the faux poop swastika right after joining the conference. It was a first impression thing. Sucks. I like Mizzou.

I attended the Mizzou system around 1991 and around 2016 for some classes. In 2016, one-sided politics was everywhere whereas in 1991, it wasn't heard in the classroom and seldom anyplace else outside a Presidential election cycle.

Traditionally, institutions like Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Texas A&M are perceived as having a more conservative campus culture.

Auburn is more conservative/free speech than any of these, especially anti-gun propaganda Alabama. ATM is so big that it has something of everything.

I had always heard A&M was one of the few conservative schools.

Yes, all are liberal. However, only one went off the deep end on national news with hunger strikes, safe spaces, crazy looney professors, gay biracial whipped cream smearing man kisses, and fake poop swastikas.

I do feel bad for the normal part of the fan base to have to live with that kind of legacy.

Woke destroys the fabric of a civil meritorious society (which is needed to advance society forward). Woke destroy meritocracy in favor of Low iQ unqualified morons in important leadership position. Which will lead to the slow decline of society. It baffles me how LIBERALS don’t see this.

Young and liberal

You grow up, mature, get real World knowledge

Become Republican.

Anyone who is over 30 and liberal should kill themselves. It will make the World a better place.

Is your university woke/liberal?

If the predominant colleges within a university are focused on the social sciences and humanities, the university will generally have a progressive-leaning culture. This alignment has been a defining feature of higher education since the early to mid-20th century, as methodologies in those fields heavily emphasize the critique of social structures and a focus on social reform.

So, most liberal arts heavy universities are also "woke" to varied degrees

Here’s the thing about that. Most of them don’t even know what liberal ideology means, sadly
