Is it weird to give your kid two middle names

My wife (no pics) and I are expecting our first child pretty soon. We don’t know whether it’s a girl or boy, but we have names picked out for both. My wife is starting to want to give him/her two middle names...
Is that a weird thing to do?

Wants to give the side piece who is inevitably the kids father some ownership I guess.

Not a fan of the two middle name thing.

Just more to yell when they’re tearing up your house and murdering your hopes and dreams.

There is no room for a second middle name on a birth certificate or any other form the child or you will have to complete in life. Then you or the child will have to choose one.
The child and everyone else will always be asking: “but why?”
Learning three names is enough and now you’re wanting him/her to learn a fourth.
Is there some family significance? Is this a fad?
And yes, it’s weird.
These are my random thoughts.
And congrats. We had our first at the beginning of the year and have our second on the way, so the significance of wading through child names and choosing one is not lost on me.

It’ll look great on the back of his/her travel ball jersey

Kid’s gonna have to spend extra time on the shoulders and lats to have enough room.

Why don't you just ask the doctor what sex it is and stop with all the bullshite?

I wanted to avoid a gender reveal party, so I told my wife I didn’t want to know. It worked

I have two middle names. My parents split my first name in two, gave me an extra middle name, and a last night.
It was to have the same initials as all of the men before me but to also pay respects to my mothers brother (second middle name)

Not necessarily, but I think it's pretentious.
I also think double names are dumb. Nobody is special enough to have two damn first names.

Right, but is it too much to have both Joedan and Jimbob?

I have 2 middle names. It's a little confusing to some government employees.
