Real wrath-of-God type stuff! Fire and brimstone coming down from the sky! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes! The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats, living together! Mass hysteria!

I thought about this after he completely bombed at the combine. I think he will be drafted, but when the story came out they were talking him up like he would be an early round pick.

If he doesn't, there will certainly be people who are outraged...Despite the fact that his being gay may have nothing to do with it.

There's a good possibility that he won't be drafted at all.

So not quite up to the level of the Trayvon Martin trial then?

That's not entirely true. The amount of sperm per hotel stay will double in certain areas.

Don't care that he is gay but that is certainly a way to make yourself less desirable to a GM. I wouldn't want some rookie with all of the media hoopla that doesn't bring all that much to the table

The league has already drawn straws and some team with the short straw makes the pick in the 7th rd or BIG O steps in with an executive order and deems the Chiefs as the winner.

Colin Cowherd talked about this a few days ago on his show. A caller was asking him about it and Colin basically said that being gay has nothing to with it. He was a really good college player but that doesn't mean that he is really draftable since he is more of a betweener type player that has no real role in the NFL and shite his britches at the combine. Couple that with the fact that NFL teams are weary of media machine players after Tebow bounced around the league.

This. Some successful college players just don't fit in well in distinctly defined NFL schemes. Plus, the guy chose to make a spectacle of himself and there's probably a lot of owners who don't want the controversy and potential disruption to their team chemistry.

I'm not sure that this is accurate. The word is that he was going to be outed and he decided to control the narrative and release it himself.

That's what I thought. Who was going to out him?

Yeah, I don't think that was his goal. I'm pulling for the guy. Unfortunately he had a pretty terrible combine.

He certainly did his part for the media circus.

I'm sure there will be a lot of media attention and talk of protests. I don't think it will actually amount to much and like all stories of fake outrage, it will go away as soon as the media find something more interesting to talk about.

I don't think it was his intention but that is what happened. I genuinely don't think it was ever Tebow's intention to be a media circus about his religious views but the end result is the same.
