This is 100% correct. I've had pizza all over Italy and Antico is the closest thing I've had to the OG in Naples.

The best pizza in Auburn was Carmine’s - Chicago style deep dish - that was a looong time ago. Who else remembers Carmine’s just a block away from the bowling alley…..

I've never even heard of FatKat's and Georgetown is just outside of Lexington. Google pics look good enough I guess.
If you were in Lexington I'd send you to Pies and Pints, Grimaldi's or Goodfellas. Just by looking I can tell they're better than FatKats. But I will make a note to go try it sometime. It's not far from me apparently. In Louisville I always like to go to Wick's. Bearno's seems to be a Louisville thing...they opened a store on UK campus and it didn't last. I didn't think much of it.

Their salads and grinders are amazing. The pizzas just have way too much cheese on them for me. Pretty greasy as well, but I realize that comes with the territory of eating pizza. And I realize I'm in the minority with their pizzas but the other offerings they have are just much better imo.
They used to have a couple nights during the week where they'd do a special like baked spaghetti, baked ziti, or other "Italian dishes" that were really good too.

I do know people who swear on whatever religious artifact you want to name that Nimas Pizza is the best in the state.

I won't lie. I loved them for the same reason.

You'll never convince me that there is better pizza in Mississippi than Dave's Darkhorse. I will die on that hill.
For Louisiana, during it's hayday, Fleur-De-Lis in Baton Rouge was one of my favorites all time.
