frick Wells Fargo.
Me: I needed access to money above the daily limit I set on my card. Cool, so I'll just call in and get it raised for one transaction.
WF: Sorry Masterag, we can't do that for you, you'll have to go in to a branch Monday and speak to the manager.
Me: frick you, I'm going to withdraw every cent on Monday and find a bank that actually lets me use my own goddamn money.

My grandfathers both fought in WWII. Does that count?

I'd recommend Extraco... But it's only in Central Texas.

Once you go credit union, you never go back.

Wells Fargo.
You couldn't find a real bank in Texas? Was that the only place that would honor that payday loan?

Good one. I probably pay more in taxes a month than you make.

i doubt it...you have the spending limit on your account..."Mr. Master...did you want your paycheck in quarters or dimes like last time?"

Find a credit union. They go by different rules, of which I don't know the details, but the sum of which translates to "we aren't in this to get as much of your money as we possibly can"

So what's the difference between a credit union and bank?

credit unions are member owned...you buy a membership...
you have to qualify by some way to join.
Dallas Credit unoin looks easy to join...
1. Live in a certain area.
2.or qualified employer
3. or Family, School, Church...
Credit unions usually have better APRs for loans and for deposits.

Agree with the credit union suggestion. Love being with one. Pretty much never have an issue.

Credit union is the only answer.

A credit union is the only way. My experience is with Shell NO FCU. But most work the same way.
