I know some people are adamantly against it, but I like the policy of some boards that you can only access certain features until you've been signed up for X amount of time. I think at this point the site is big enough that it wouldn't really take a massive hit if that happened. Obviously you have some folks around that are going to troll certain team/poster threads no matter what, but it seems like most of the dumb shite that comes up like you're talking about is from a poster and their 50 alters.

I personally think this board should be treated as the TD OT where politics and religion threads are banned. The amount of religious "discussions" on this board is unbearable.

I normally see the avi/name first, and don't even read the post. There are a lot of threads that you can read the title/author and know there will be nothing productive inside

I'm good with that. I would enjoy religious threads, but they don't last more than one reply before it becomes a blind pissing contest. Same arguments every time, no matter the topic.

The politics/religion stuff never bothered me much over here. But that may be because I'm comparing it to the Poli Board, so it looks significantly less insane.

I'm hoping the real discussion increases when we finally kickoff and the arduous offseason is in the rear view. I'll try to tone down my jackass posts but don't quote me on that.
