The fact that your best retort is the frequency of my posting and a barrage of emotes says all it needs to say. But by all means keep going. It's really quite funny.

I'm sorry to disappoint, but I won't be here for it. Maybe they'll continue without me. They seem to rant on even if I'm not here.

I'm curious as to how long you've been in your current relationship.

I don't think it's so much luck as it is knowing what I want and what I expect from a relationship and a partner, actually, not only in romantic relationships, but from friendships, as well. I put in much time and effort in "getting to know" myself and figuring out who I am happy with and why. There was a lot of trial and error involved and learning from past mistakes and relationships, maybe a little fate, as well.

All I meant by my comment was that you are fortunate and I'm happy for you. Most people that I know have to work through minor annoyances, even if the relationship is sound.

Wasn't a dig at you. I'm mainly just jealous

quote:

I put up with my fair share of random and not so so random annoying shite, years of it, and discovered hard work in a relationship doesn't always make it work, so instead of putting up with things that made me unhappy, I decided to make myself happy, and if I was to be happy with someone else in another relationship, that meant there would have to be some pretty high standards met for that relationship to be worth my time and effort; otherwise, I would be perfectly content not to be in one. At this point in my life, being picky and patient paid off.

Everyone has different deal breakers, is what it comes down to. Sometimes working at it alleviates things, and sometimes not.

There are no silver bullets. I'm just happy for you and extremely pleased that I am blessed to get to work on my relationship with my woman errday. It's an annoying, awesome privilege that I wouldn't trade for any other relationship in the world, even if it were easier.

I agree with Belle.

My husband and I have been together 24 years and married 18 years and we love each other deeply and are best friends. We have a healthy sex life and communicate with each other very well.

Yet, it drives me BATSHIT when he leaves his shoes all over the damn house, leaves all the mail on the dash of his cars for days, leaves clothes hangers on doorknobs, and a bunch of other little stuff I can't remember.

Every person in my life - mom, dad, husband, kids, friends, coworkers - all do something little that annoys me or drives me crazy.

Anyone who says that another person doesn't have a single annoying habit is either lying to other people or lying to themselves.

Every single person on this planet has a habit that can annoy other people.

That says nothing about the quality of their relationship.

A truly healthy relationship is made up of people that can admit their partner annoys them without it messing up their relationship. I find people who claim to have a perfect relationship with no petty annoyances to be suspect. But that's just me.

Thank you!

About to go have a Family Fun Day with my annoying loved ones.

Target, Academy, and a manicure for me and the girl while the boys go to Gamestop.
