Didn't Georgia pass a law about 3 years ago allowing guns on campuses?

Then why the big deal that Mississippi passed a law in 2011?

I think republicans are finally going to pay a political price for all of those millions of NRA dollars they've been bought with.
If the student protest movement morphs into a bigger movement it might be the end of that organization's hold on Congress.

It's almost entirely republicans who get NRA money now.

In the 2016 and 2014 presidential, senate and house races all of the big money went to republicans.

31 million was spent to promote Trump or against Clinton and 38 million was spent on 10 republican senators in 2014 and 2016.

The movement has already got republicans talking about changing laws, even Trump.
Things never change, till they do.

What percentage of those students do you think come from pro-gun rights families? I’d wager it’s very low. They’d be willing to do this, anyway.

Despite being told “the country wants a gun ban”, I don’t know anyone who’s ever been asked.

I dont know the extent of the mississippi law, but I think it has something to do with being allowed in sporting events. GA does not

I don't get it we used to go to school with rifles and shotguns hanging in our back windows and nobody got shot.

So, to be clear.. you'd be happy if an independent group that fights for your Constitutional rights, stopped doing that ?

I don’t think you fully grasp how much $$$$ is behind the NRA.

C'mon, man. You don't really think Trump's opinion is being influenced by a bunch of kids, do you?

He's against bump stocks. No rational person can argue that that's a bad idea. In any case as far as I know the kid brigade has not mentioned bump stocks.

He's also now for raising the age at which one can buy a gun. I don't think this will make a bit of difference, but it looks good to the masses and isn't that much of a hindrance to kids.

The real answer that nobody wants to talk about: Stop selling firearms to kooks.

I don't think you grasp the fact they aren't even in the top 25 in money spent

Nah the NRA is the largest and most powerful lobbyist group. They control all branches of gubmemt

FWIW, they might not even be top 50 if you include private firms
