Even if Georgia got access to the Tennessee River, there's not one chance in hell they'd get one ounce of the TVA's water. They'd have Alabama, Tennessee, the Feds, The Corp, and Dolly Parton all crawling up their asses.

I thought we were granted the rights to Knoxville after last year's game, and that's why Cade Mays went to UGA...

bullshite, the Chattahoochee is 100% in Georgia's territory on the western boarder as well as the dam and reservoir (Lake Lanier) that regulates it.It also originates in Georgia.
You're welcome for the water we let you have but it really needs to stop.

I also petitioned the annexation of Memphis to Arkansas, they weren't interested either.

To replace the land Missouri took from us?

I thought they had put this issue to bed the last time. I don't know the exact details but it doesn't sound like Georgia has a real chance here but like someone else already said, there is going to be a lot of squabbling over water in the future.

You should build a brick wall around the land

Yeah there has been a couple lawsuits from Alabama as well as lower Georgia cities and counties over Atlanta draining the Chattahoochee.
I mean the water falls in Georgia.
Its great, the many times in the summer and fall, when Georgia/Atlanta is under water restrictions so tight they shut your water off and fine you immediately for using any water outside. Then I come across the border and see people with all their sprinklers on mid day for hours on end.

If they moved the border to the 35th parallel, it would not only include the water, but would also include East Ridge and Lookout Mountain, TN.

But it flows out of Georgia, so legally Georgia cannot alter the water levels downstream without the ACoE approval, because it affects other places, populations, and ecosystems.

I am fully aware, but it falls in georgia, it's georgia's water. I understand alabama and florida need to protect their ecosystems, but so does Georgia. Alabama and Florida hardly ever go into conservation mode over water, while Georgia is in ti yearly. if anybody is screwing someone over water its the two states that abuse it.

This is 100% correct.I remember during the '07 drought visiting my brothers place at Lake Harding and the water level was almost at its full level while Lake Lanier was almost TWENTY feet below full level.Atlanta gets completely screwed out of water that originates in
Georgia and is 100% within its western boarder.Have no idea how Alabama can claim any of it.

it got more than 20. its insane, during that same period, people in alabama were under no restrictions. They closed down car washes in Atl that didnt use recycled water. They had cops driving around looking for people using water. I think it got up to $1000 fine for using at one point.

That is false, it is federal water.

Atlanta is it's own worst enemy, the other two states are capable of not depleting it's own supply.
