I'm a seafood guy, so I'd probably put Louisiana at #1. No one does it better. That said, Mississippi has so much variety. Some of the best catfish, soul food, BBQ, and throw in coast seafood to boot. Baton Rouge really needs to step up their BBQ game. City Pork is pretty good, but there is a huge missed market for BBQ in that city.

Good call. Saw's pork and greens is top notch.

Good gumbo and jambalaya are things I can't get enough of... so it's not even close in my mind.

Louisiana.

I do love the Alabama white bbq sauce, though. But actual food goes to La.

Louisiana Seafood
The variety and optional ways of fixing each is almost endless.

It’s good by Baton Rouge standards, but it doesn’t begin to compare to legit bbq in many other places.

We are fat for a reason.

I know 5 restaurants in the Ms delta that will cook a steak better than anywhere I’ve found in the country including high end steak houses. For 30-40 bucks too, bone in 24 oz ribeyes

Look, there are no right answers on such a question. But KC BBQ and it’s sugar ketchup sauce is objectively terrible.
