Why drink wine at all then? Why not drink something non-alcoholic?

These verses seem to agree the point of drinking alcohol was to feel it's results. The same was true when Jesus turned water into wine, the wine was said to be the best some had had.

Ecclesiastes 9:7 instructs, “Drink your wine with a merry heart.”

Psalm 104:14-15 states that God gives wine “that makes glad the heart of men.”

Amos 9:14 discusses drinking wine from your own vineyard as a sign of God’s blessing.

Isaiah 55:1 encourages, “Yes, come buy wine and milk…”

GREAT verses, thanks for sharing. Drink good stuff, drink bad stuff...just be sober. Simple unless you have too much pain in your life.

Re: Genesis 1:29...in the last sentence, "They will be yours for food." So again, food or drink is okay...just be of sober mind.

Keep justifying your horrible and painful existence by "escaping reality" with mind altering substances. I guess if I were you, I'd get drunk again too. Sad choices y'all are making. But it's your free will. We all see it everyday...the devil wins against the weak and lost.

3-2-1...attack me again.

Uh who is attacking who? Because we disagree with you, we are lesser? Very Christian of you. Pick and choose what applies to you out of the bible, and belittle other people's life choices because you believe in a fairy tail. There are tons of religions, and you're so conceited to think yours is the "right one".

Simple minds.

Live your life however you want and don't be a dick to people. It's not that hard.

If you sincerely believe in a God that would have you belittle others for their vices, you're what's wrong with the world.

Kentucky will be one of the last one to do so sadly. We could probably solve our teacher retirement fund crisis if we did. But the idiots out in the state here even fought them legalizing hemp again.

We could be one of the richest states in the Union. Imagine the quality marijuana we could grow in the Bluegrass.

Why drink wine with alcohol in it at all if not to feel the effects of it? You still haven't answered that.

Sorry to hear your life is so bad that you have to "leave reality" for a brake. The above verse is a much better answer. I've been sober 19 years and don't miss it.

I just wanna paint this picture of the God you're describing.

You believe that God is fine with us drinking wine, and even encourages it, and included in it alcohol, of which he doesn't want to have any effect on you at all. Why would God include alcohol in wine at all and tell you to drink it but to not let what he included in it also effect you?

You're not describing God at all. You're describing your own personal struggle. The rest of us don't use alcohol the way you did, that's why we don't have to quit like you had to. Perks of being an adult with self control. Sorry yours is so bad you have to refrain all together. How embarrassing, to be an adult but have to treat yourself like a child in order to not kill yourself.

I don't do the drug and I do believe it's highly addictive (mentally) but I will say it'd be a good cash-crop for the southern states.

And just how do you explain that the one who paid for the wedding asking why he saved the good stuff for last after he turned water into wine?

Typically you start the wedding with the best tasting wine, and then once the guests sense of taste lowers from alcohol consumption using the poorer quality wine?

That was the reason he asked why the good stuff wasn't given out first.

And since legalization, the only real concern the Coloradans currently have about it, is fear that the economy here is very strong, but that it's really just a bubble. And that once legalization spreads, the bubble might burst.

I think this is a good example of the benefits of legalization

Beyond the billion dollars of cannabis sales (which brought in a huge amount of tax revenue), it's the revenue and business created because the industry was taken from the black market. Advertising revenue in magazines, laboratories that test the cannabis and concentrates for purity and potency, hydroponics and gardening supply business, etc.

Plus the damage done to Mexican cartels is priceless. People that are concerned admit illegal immigration sound be in favor of anything that damages them. Because as long as Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras are shite holes, illegal immigration will continue to be a problem. I know if I were a central American man with a family, I'd sneak into America too.

Oh, and ot reefer smokers, take a close look at those prices...

Every true businessman in America should be for the legalization of pot. I have no use for the stuff, but I damn sure don't mind selling to those who do if there's a legal market

Of course, by that logic, we should also legalize prostitution. Something I support even more than legalizing pot.

But I guess that's another thread for another day
