Living in Arizona makes it easy..

It really is pointless.

If you mean only have daylight savings time, I agree.

No. OP is right. I like for it to be dark early in the winter, and I'm sure people in places like Indiana don't want to see sunrise at 9am in December.

So you just want us to jump back an hour in November?

So in 12 years noon would really be midnight

Sunrise is never as late at 8AM in Indiana.

The fact that people have so much trouble adjusting to a one hour change twice a year shows how low expectations should be. The current system doesn’t bother me, but I would prefer to stay daylight savings time all year if I had to pick.

You should get out more often, bro.

Sunrise in Indianapolis on December 21st, 2018, was at 8:02am EST. That would be 9:02am EDT.
In Terre Haute it would be 9:06. In South Bend, 9:09.
And nobody wants a 9am sunrise.

If we're going to eliminate the change, it should be to go back to standard time.

Arizonans were smart. They kept Standard Time year round, except for the Navajo Nation, who observe MDT.

I like more daylight in the evening. I favor DST year round.

Some Fla lawmakers are trying to do just that.

I honestly can't understand anyone who wants Standard Time over Daylight Savings Time. Why wouldn't you want more sunlight in the evening when you're free from work?

I prefer it lighter in the morning.
It was dark at 630 today when I was heading into work.
This friday it was light.

I don't like that.

100% agree. I think a lot of DST supporters don't leave home until 0830. That's my guess. To me, driving to work in the dark is mighty depressing.
