I'm at the that point, I'm ready to try pills. I'll probably start with wellibutrin. If that doesn't work, I'll have to try chantex. But that one had terrible side effects, that scare the hell out of me. But I'm 33, and I know the side effects of tobacco. So I'm almost ready to risk the severe psychological side effects associated with chantex. Because otherwise, I'll be dead

I used the nicotine nasal spray to quit. I'd take a hit of that when I had a craving, and it would send nicotine straight into my system. The downside was it was like taking a hit off a habanero pepper . I really didn't want to use it unless I was jonesing real bad. It made quitting the spray really easy.
I'm just saying, there are other alternatives to chantex. Talk with your Dr.

No. Never have.

It REALLY bothers my wife, but if I'm being honest, I don't really care. The smell and practice don't affect me negatively.

I don't want my house smelling like it, so if I have guests who smoke I'll ask them to do so outside, but aside from that, I don't really give a shite.

I don't really have one. People can live their lives how they want. As long as you don't smoke in my house and get it all smelly and pick up your used cigs then I couldnt care less

I smoke, after quitting for a like a year. Time to bite the bullet and quit again. Stupid and expensive habit.

I see a lot of people typing,"I don't care" then offering a but after it. As in they don't care for the smell etc... To me, that is forming an opinion and a negative one at that.

I think a lot of people feel a certain way about smokers but it is easier to say, "I don't care." I mean I know I've done it in the presence of smoker friends but in reality, I do care. I don't want my clothes smelling like smoke, I don't want the chance at 2nd hand smoke, I don't want to be near it honestly.

I don't smoke in my house. It makes it smell like shite, even to a smoker.

Well, except weed. But that smells amazing. Most people I know have no problem with me smoking weed in their house. Cigs, I'll never even ask. I just go outside.

This is all you really need to say. It's a disgusting, filthy habit. Just don't act like me smoking a cig 8' getting you outside is putting your health at risk. Just say it's irritating instead of using bullshite propaganda studies. Most smokers understand, and will move if you say it's bothering you.

I love watching a woman smoke too. But something much longer and thicker than a cigarette.

Love me a fine Cigar from time to time and really don't care what anyone thinks about it. I find the daily habit of cigarettes to be a waste of both money and good health, but it doesn't bother me personally.

What does bother me about cigarettes is watch a mom with three kids buy a buggy full of groceries with my tax dollars and then throw down a fresh $50 for a carton of Marlboro Lights.

I dont smoke and never have. And never will.

You want the truth? Its trashy as hell. Looks horrible and people who dont smoke look down at people who do.

A big portion of smokers DGAF and smoke in areas where they should not and throw their trash all over the ground. Im sure there are some "good" smokers out there but the ones who are not out number them by 100X

I also think smokers' health insurance should be much higher than for nonsmokers.

Smokers do pay more for health insurance. Do insurers in Kentucky not do this?

ETA - Nevermind. Posted this before I read belle's post.

I smoked for 4 years as a teen and college student, quit by switching to dip and then stopped that when I met my wife and figured she might not date me if she knew I dipped. Now 12 years later I find smoking to be a disgusting habit, and when I see someone smoking I automatically assume they are trashy, not very smart and have no self control. Similar thoughts to when I see really obese people.

In today's world smoking is a sign of mental weakness. With all the knowledge about the dangers of smoking and 2nd hand smoke to children, someone who smokes is OK with killing themselves. Not being able to quit is a sign of mental weakness.

Both of my parents died from smoking related illnesses.

Fat people too. Fats should pay much much more.

And fats who smoke, don't even get me started
