Grindhouse isn't half bad either.

I've heard good things about Grindhouse but I'm a creature of habit and I love the Vortex. I've never had a bad meal there. I did however have the band stop playing and everyone turn around when I walked into the Star Bar across the street wearing khakis and a polo (Awkward)

It's the James Smith Special served at a local diner called Verna's. Open faced, two patties, mustard, pickles, onions, jalapenos, and cheese.....then generously smothered in chili.

No bacon on a hamburger. I like bacon. I like burgers. Do not like together.

1/2 pound ground chuck/sirloin mix, seasoned with salt and pepper
Blue cheese
Thick cut bacon
Mayonnaise
Ketchup
Brioche bun

I can eat a burger loaded with toppings, as I really like them all, but the best burger is very simple to me. It's about a good bun, good meat, good cheese, and minimal condiments.

Ground Lamb with Greek Seasoning, grilled and all the trimmings mentioned and use Publix French Bread Buns - you'll never use another type of hamburger bun after that, puts beef to shame.

YES. Best burger I've ever eaten was there. And the fried plantains as a side are awesome.

I'm convinced everyone here who hasn't named a fried egg or guac has never tried them on a burger.

First time I tried a burger with those, I felt like I'd discovered electricity.

Top's BBQ double cheeseburger all the way.
Double fries
When you get it add Louisanna Hot Sauce and go to town.

I don't like to cook burgers on the grill at home. I cook them in a cast iron skillet.
