I saw that the city did a major streetscaping project on Cumberland.
How do the Tenn people like it.

Why are you thinking about a street in Knoxville on a Sunday night? But to answer your question it's nothing special, better than it was before I guess though.

Because there's nothing to do in Clemson, SC.

All Knoxville residents know to avoid Cumberland like it's Mogadishu so you'd have better luck asking visiting fans about it.

I'm interested in projects like this. what's it to you.
I saw that they planted a ton of trees. kind of hard to imagine that road with trees.

I'd imagine the bollards got you all hot and bothered....

some hostile people on here

I'm not seeing many bollards at Tenn's campus, where you would expect more than a campus in a small college town like Auburn.

only an anti-social person like you would think my asking about a project in Knoxville is 'ruining' the forum.
Don't post on the topic if you aren't interested in it.

It looks night and day better than at any point over the last 25 years. Now that the infrastructure and street scape has been upgraded they need to make a push to get new vendors in and entertainment back to what it was or better. They just finished planting the trees along the sidewalks and medians not long ago. I'm excited to see what it looks like in the spring/summer.

When I went there only like 5 years ago were at least 20 bars on the strip but now theres like 5. Its a nightmare.

I went through there a few weeks ago and to tell you the truth, for all the money they spent on it, it really doesn't look that much different

Yeah, that's not true at all or you have terrible eyes.
Before:
After:
More has been added to the Strip since that picture was taken last fall fwiw. Mostly trees along the side walks and medians and some other landscaping thats being worked on currently. Aesthetically speaking, it looks better than it ever has. Now it needs to work on getting back the entertainment venues that were lost during the construction. It looked like a unsafe, forgotten coal mining town in West Virginia prior to the infrastructure upgrade. Keep in mind this just finished several months back and it's still in the early stages of post construction.
