Not always true.

A beautiful girl that is a friend can be useful. Other girls don't know what your situation is, and that competitive streak they have gets going. There's plenty of other pussy in the sea.

Meh. Overrated beyond initial interest. A tall guy walking in to the bar does just about the same thing as a short guy next to a pretty girl. The rest of the women will notice immediately.

You don't have much experience with pretty girls.

If I see a short guy next to a good looking tall guy, I let the tall guy come to me. I don't want to get trapped talking to Mr. Shorty with a pretty girl complex.

That's all that matters. Just trying to increase the number of possibilities.

Well I'm 6' 4", beautiful, and I wear boots out at night. You can wear your tallest and sluttiest heels and you'll still be looking up.

You're 5' 10"? I've never been with a girl taller than 5' 8". Challenge accepted.

I would say that my two longest female friends that I have are friend zoned. One I have friend zoned, one I was friend zoned. Both are sexy, and I would definitely sleep with both if the circumstances were different, but the relationships are not anywhere near as strong as any of my best guy friends, or female friendships I have had with long time females that are off limits or ones that I am not attracted to. Even ones that are much short than the two aforementioned females I have known over a decade, and know more personal details of their lives than probably anything but a handful of people. Men and women are compatible. If our personalities are compatible, and I sexually attracted to them, I get what I want, or I move on without it getting anywhere near a level of closeness or bonding you would have other wise.

Two that I can think of off the top of my head that I've been close with is one I dated very, very briefly and it was like kissing my brother (we've been good friends for almost 10 years now). We enjoy each other's company but that physical attraction isn't there. The other is the brother of an ex who I was with for a few years and I'd consider him a little brother before I would anything else (and he feels the same way, so technically I guess this wouldn't be a "friend zone" because there was never anything there to begin with).

I think you're assuming that because you approach/address relationships a certain way that all guys do. They don't.

I mean, I can't speak for other women/girls, but I'm not one to put on airs and be friends with women just to meet some societal standard/expectation.

Nothing like those long legs in heels. I wish you luck in your endeavor.

I tend to like other girls that are confident and who are comfortable with themselves.

This would be why male humor tends to win out over female drama in my friend world.

Those would be the ones I referenced as "off limits". I have friend and family significant other expatriates that I am damn good friends with, and in some areas, closer and more open than I am with those two females. I don't approach/address relationships the same way, but why would I be dishonest with my intentions? And why would a woman want that, or think that is something that can just be brushed under the rug? A real man doesn't pussy foot around with that shite, imo.
