Would not dispute that fact. Point I was getting at was girls go through a slutty phase, men more or less never leave theirs...................I agree most men can't handle the double standards they set, whether it be the "no fat chicks" stereotype or the "want a lady outside but ho in bed" menatlity.

Yeah, I can go with this

I don't think there should be a double standard. But then, I think people generally stop asking for sex counts once they've left college.

I used to think this, until I truly learned how crazy women are. Women have sex for different reasons than men do, so there is a different standard. It is probably worse than it needs to be, but to act like a guy sleeping with a bunch of women is the same as a women getting a new dick left and right is asinine. Their end goal is rarely the same.

I totally agree with you. We've all had embarrassing hookups. It's harder for a lot of girls to have casual sex because of the way they are wired, but someone who wants to have sex and not have a boyfriend shouldn't be slut shamed.

To quote Voltaire: It is an infantile superstition of the human spirit that virginity would be thought a virtue and not the barrier that separates ignorance from knowledge.

I think this is a fine line. One one hand, I probably don't want to know the answer to begin with, and honestly it's none of my business. However, if a girl is in her mid 20s and has slept with oooooh say 75 guys..I think I'd kinda want to know that information.

Well, what's the difference between a guy who likes to brag about how many girls he's fricked to make up for his inner feelings of inadequacy and a girl who sleeps with guys to feel intimacy she's lacking?

But what percentage of females genuinely want that? Has to be less than 10%.

None, IMO.

Eh, I'd say it's more than we'd think.

Lower percentage than guys because they're "wired different," to borrow your turn of phrase, but also lower because of societal double standards, IMO.

More than 10% of sexually active females want that. I'd say more like 25-30%.

Some guys are just attracted to husband hunters. For whatever reason, their world view is that girls just want kids and babies. Probably because their moms are like that. When I'm just out of a relationship, I certainly don't want to get emotionally involved with people. And when I'm not in a relationship, I can certainly discern between guys I wouldn't date but am still attracted to and those I would end up falling for.

Good point. But I was never really speaking about the guys end, just merely stating I don't think women can keep it casual. I agree that lots of guys sleep with tons of women because of basic insecurity and lack of value in themselves, but that men can also truly keep it casual, and do have emotionless sex. I for one don't like emotionless sex and don't sleep around. I have only had a few one night stands, and they were all slump busters. And the conversation leading up to it, in our drunken states truly did reveal the motivations:

Let's play a game where I give out a few phrases said on those underwhelming and protection-free nights, we guess who was me and who was the rando slut.

"I think you're different than all the rest."
"I want to be inside you."
"I think I trust you."
"Let's go back to my place."
"You won't ignore me will you?"

Now I agree. Men feel can feel inadequate just as often as women feel insecure. But I don't think it is as equivalent.

More so they have a very surface level of inner value. They are very basic people that don't have any sort of honest view of what they value and want in a counter point.

If it's a guy I know I will fall for, it's hard to keep casual, and if he's not in a place to have a relationship, I tend not to get involved. Those guys always give a call when they are ready for one. If it's a guy I know will go nowhere, it's not hard.

I've hooked up with guys before who were trying to get me to commit to Thanksgiving in July. Guys can be needy and annoying too.

There's plenty of guys who can't keep it casual either, but I think because it's a stigma they don't want to be nailed with they play it off like they can.

ETA: And that's not even just from a sexual standpoint, that absolutely applies to just hanging out as well.

Well don't be so sexy and we won't be hitting you up. It is always annoying being involved with attractive women. It is definitely noticable what gender is texting them and who is initiating it. The most attractive ones I've been with have their phones constantly blowing up by guys who a) they think are friends and are really below their league and the guy is simply trying for the long con but is too dumb and friend zoned to have a prayer b) are guys they like flirting with, but aren't going to really hook up with because it is a friends brother or something and c) rando douchebags they just met.

Seriously men are wolves, and women love the attention.
