I think this is the crux of the matter. Not saying I was (or am) the most mature guy in the world, but every relationship i've been in has required me to have more than a little intestinal fortitude, so I just can't wrap my mind around it being a dealbreaker that someone slept around in the past.

Eh, I'm probably an 'ole fogey'. I remember finding out precious little flipper girl (Jessica Alba) was knocking boots as an art form, and being genuinely surprised.

From the girl's perspective, I prefer dating picky guys. Nothing like going to a party and realizing your date has slept with everything that moved.

I don't really like rigid formulas. First, it depends on your age. Second, I just think that people who are generally thoughtful about who they choose to sleep with, mixed with the understanding that every now and then you are going to feel your oats, follow a flight of fancy, or make an embarrassing choice at the end of the night is reasonable. I just tend to be drawn to people who appreciate quality over quantity.
