Comcast or Uverse?

I have one at one office and one at the other. I don't have issues with either one.

I chose Comcast because of the number of TVs in the house. Uverse will hit you good for the cost of there boxes.

Had UVerse at old apt, didn't like it for internet.
Getting comcast at new apt and hoping it doesn't suck.

Comcast is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with in my life. Had uverse previously and had no issues.

Do not get Uverse. My old roommate switched from Comcast to Uverse. Now the roommate is back with comcast

Overpriced and for some reason, my Uverse bill comes in about $80 more than it's supposed to be every month. Pisses me off, but stil...Uverse. Like it otherwise. And they're usually pretty good about knocking it down but it takes me calling and bitching every month or two.

I cancelled Comcast because they were charging me for channels I never received for almost a year. They wouldn't issue me a credit for the overcharges so I dropped them. They responded by sending my final bill straight to collections and attempted to damage my credit. Behind the curtain they are evil.

Uverse is pretty awesome. Just behind DirecTv for me, but that's only because I'm so used to DirecTv. Never had Comcast, but I've only heard bad things.

Comcast is typically rated as the company with the worst customer service in the country.

I've had both in different places. The quality probably depends a lot on where you live, so you might do better asking on a local board.
But in my experience, Uverse has better customer service. Comcast is said to have more reliable internet.

DO NOT get Comcast in Mobile
ETA: To elaborate, a majority of their lines need to be replaced, but they're too cheap to do it. Their customer service is by far the worst we have ever dealt with (beyond cable companies mind you...the worst customer service of any type of company we've dealt with in Mobile). They upcharge you whenever and where ever they can, and then it takes days if not weeks to dispute the claim. UVerse is the lesser of 2 evils in Mobile

A word of advice for those that have averse, when your initial plan runs out you have to call rentention. It's the only way your going to get your bill back down. I would even suggest going to an AT&T store and letting them call.

Thanks Nino. I found a cool little apartment in midtown. 2 miles from downtown and 2 miles from work so I can't really beat that.
I've heard nothing but bad things about comcast but I know relatively nothing about U-verse.
