Hey, Did you guys hear about that British soldier who was murdered in London?
I thought this was the topic but I seem to have stumbled upon a religious soapbox.

If not, then all is not lost. After you've graduated and passed the bar, you'll have plenty of time to post on the Rant while searching for jobs.

That's the kind of diversity the UK imports every day from third world countries. I bet the deceased's taxes paid in part for the attacker's welfare.
Why wouldn't you want to import guys like that to a civilized country? And when you're importing guys like that, why wouldn't you want all guns banned from civilians? You would if your goal was to terrorize and enslave your population.
England? No thanks. Obama's 'immigration reform'? No thanks.
Sounds like a nice place. Who wouldn't want to bring a little slice of that type of culture to a civilized country?
Brilliant, I tell you, just brilliant.

And you continue to miss my original point, that killing in the name of any religion (Muslim included, not excluded) is crazy.

Europe has a very real problem on their hands with regards to radical Islam. The day will come when they have to decide between political correctness and the well being of their citizenry.
Based on current population expansion in Europe, it will be majority Islam within 60 years.

There's already pressure for Sharia law to be implemented in several European countries.

It's going to happen somewhere eventually without radical intervention. Islamic families average between 5 and 8 children per household. The native Euros can't compete with that. They are, literally, going to breed their way into power.
I realize that many Muslims dont support radical views but frankly are too terrified to do anything to change it.

Sharia law is terrifying though.

No I get that point, and I agree with it.

In those times a blanket used by someone whi dies frim smallpox was a weapon. And I said it has been a long time, so if i am wrong about the smallpox thing i apologize. the point remains the same that during colonialism, the Spanish used the excuse of needing to spread the Christian faith in order to save the native or barbarian people. You know who went with them to spread the faith? Missionaries.
The only evidence of the "Blanket Theory" is a few excerpts from letters between Lord Jeffrey Amherst & Colonel Henry Bouquet discussing possible means of controlling the Indians in the summer of 1763. Whether this was actually done is debatable, BUT EVEN IF THIS WAS CARRIED OUT:
Smallpox is believed to have arrived in the Americas in 1520 on a Spanish ship sailing from Cuba, carried by an infected African slave. As soon as the party landed in Mexico, the infection began, swept through the American Continent wiping out more than 90% of the Native population.
By the time Lord Amherst arrived to carry out his evil "Blanket Plan", smallpox had already done 95% of the work for him. BUT EVEN IF LORD AMHERST WAS SOMEHOW ABLE TO TRAVEL BACK IN TIME 240 YEARS AND GIVE AN INFECTED BLANKET TO AN AFRICAN SLAVE TO CARRY OUT HIS DIABOLICAL "BLANKET SCHEME" :
That still doesn't explain how this crude biological warfare is related to Christianity IN ANY WAY.
I guess Amherst was sitting with his generals, enjoying tea and crumpets while his time machine was being detailed, when a light bulb flashed over his head (even though the light bulb wouldn't be invented for another 110 years) and said
"You know lads, I think it would be a jolly good idea to sneak onto a Spanish Ship with smallpox infected blankets before it departs Cuba for Mexico. Now it'll take 240 years, but those infected blankets will decimate almost every red & brown savage on the continent"
When his generals asked "But sir, why would we do that? For Gold? For the Glory of England? For the valuable tobacco plant? For the Queen?"
Amherst got that serious limey look in his eye and replied
"NO. We will do it for Jesus."

So does the bible.
The new testament teaches us that our battle is not with flesh and blood.
But you're biased.

The Old Testament is still a part of the Bible, and is still taught in churches. They just cherry pick what to teach and what not to teach.

I may be biased, but that doesn't mean that I don't know what I'm talking about. I grew up going to church every Sunday and every Wednesday until I was about fourteen and got sick of it and refused to go. I've read the Bible from cover to cover. I've been a witness to the craziness firsthand.

Damn straight we'll disagree, as per par

Not really. Christians arent under the old covenant law of Moses. This is just another flawed anti-christian talking point. The only thing still applicable is inherent moral law aka the ten commandments, sexual deviancy, etc. Jesus fulfilled the law.
Your real issue is with practicing jews. They are the ones with little excuse for ignoring parts of the OT.

Read about what happened in Lebanon. It used to be a peaceful country that was governed by Christian majority.
Islamic families multiplied to the point where they became a majority, won the vote, and Christians either fled the country or were murdered.
Now look at Lebanon. There's no going back.

Yeah, but ancestors of those Christians murdered some Muslims about a thousand years ago, so they had it coming.
