I prefer the brand from my friends from Louisville.

That’s probably one of the best bang-for-the-buck higher ryes.

I think it shares a similar mash bill with Bulleit Rye, which I also like in that category.

Bulleit or Maker's Mark. Blanton's if available (it often isn't here). I'd love to try Pappy Van Winkle but have never seen it for sale.

A buddy and I were drinking at a local spot in Hoover that has been there forever

We decided to try the top shelf bourbons, and Old Camp was on the menu

One of my new favorites

In no particular order:

Buffalo Trace
Eagle Rare
Four Roses Small Batch
Knob Creek
Woodford Reserve
Basil Hayden
Maker’s Mark
Bulleit
Four Roses

You can’t go wrong with any of these.

I don't drink myself, but I live in Bourbon country, and only a couple of miles from WR. It's always funny to me that I can be in the Caribbean at a duty free store, and the prices of bourbon are cheaper there than buying it a mile from where it's made.

United states 3 tier system. Its more expensive at the distilleries than at a local store as well

Currently on the shelf top 3

Eagle Rare ABC store pick is my current favorite on the shelf. The regular Eagle Rare is always good too. Same mash bill as Buffalo Trace but aged 10 years.

Woodford Reserve double oaked

Four Roses single barrel

Well over $200 where I am at. Haven't seen it under $80 in a long time.

I do like this bourbon. It is solid. When you can find it tru the Elijah Craig Toasted Barrell. It’s Allocated so you may have to pay for it but it is worth it.

I haven’t had this one yet but I’ve been hunting it. I love regular EC, EC store pick, and barrel proof. Really want that toasted barrel and 18.

Four Roses Small Batch for me. I met master distiller Brent Elliott a while back. Genuinely nice guy. I’ll get railed for this I’m sure but I’m not above mixing with Evan Williams Black. Working man’s bourbon and 2nd leading seller in the world for a reason.

How is that heavens door? I feel like the price tag has made me a little iffy on never having it? How is the double oaked on the left? I imagine it’s good as I mentioned the Woodford doubled earlier, also Old Forrester 1910 is pretty tasty too.

Evan Williams 1783 is my go-to. $27/handlebar in my area. Good enough to sip, but still cheap enough to mix.

Evan Williams Single Barrel. At $27 it's better than anything that costs $100.
