Evan Williams Single Barrel. At $27 it's better than anything that costs $100.

Agreed. At 86 proof it’s a great starter bourbon. Great mixer or straight.

How is that heavens door? I feel like the price tag has made me a little iffy on never having it? How is the double oaked on the left? I imagine it’s good as I mentioned the Woodford doubled earlier, also Old Forrester 1910 is pretty tasty too.

Not super impressed with this blend of bourbon and rye. Not Bad. Heavens has a toasted that I have not tried supposed to be very good. Hearing good things about the 1910. Will try soon. Have way to many options. Cheers Mate.

Eagle Rare
this is my answer as well for a reasonable price.
Not a big fan of Buffalo Trace, Knob, or Bulleit.
Woodford, and Maker's are great but not small batch.
I'll have to keep my eye out for Four Roses and Basil.

With that said; what's your favorite?

These are my ready to go stock. Very good bourbons. Accessible and reasonably affordable. I can’t decide between the two insofar as which is my favorite.

Elmer T Lee is EXCELLENT but near impossible to find. It’s probably my favorite low proof bourbon.

Anyone tried any of the stuff coming out of Texas? I know it’s not KY, but they have some labeling their stuff as bourbon.

I've had regular Garrison Brothers. I've been to Hye while visiting Fredricksburg for the wineries. It's a damned fine tour but the regular Garrison Brothers tastes VERY corny and I find it to be quite harsh. I've got a bottle of the stuff but at 80+ dollars all I can do with it is use it as a mixer.

There is some other varieties out of GB with a higher price point (I forget what the silver wax is called) that is supposed to be nice but now you've 100+ dollars for a bottle and I don't think it can be THAT good.

Try it, you might like it. I didn't.

I’ve read about GB winning awards for their stuff, but I guess thats the $100+ bottles. Anyone tried Ironroot? Hearing good things about them.

Yellow rose is Good. I like the port finish. Rye is solid as well.

Just got the yellow rose and we loved it. Used it in a old fashion and it was one of the best old fashions I have ever had.

This will sound odd... but... Southern Comfort 100 is very drinkable and tasty. Also Fighting Cock whiskey is extremely drinkable.

Granted, both will get you absolutely lit.

I'm just saying, for the boozehounds out there rather than the experts on rare bourbons.
