Biscuits. Cornbread is great but way to many people have no idea how to make it and I'm not drinking 10 gallons of water to make moisture wicking baked goods tolerable.

I've had pork chops, cornbread, and redbeans and rice for breakfast plenty times.

Well, I’ve had Scotch for breakfast too, but is it standard? Is cornbread a standard breakfast staple? Not trying to be contrary here, but when I think breakfast, cornbread would not come to mind.

Depends on what the rest of the meal is...obviously biscuits for breakfast...if you haven't, try crumbling up REAL cornbread in a glass of sweet or buttermilk....damn sure fittin!
95% of the world has NO CLUE what REAL cornbread or cathead biscuits taste like...poor bastards. ...same goes for redeye gravy.

Sounds like a good breakfast to me

Course I love a good piece of catfish for breakfast everyday when I can get it.

Its gotta come out of a seasoned cast iron skillet, and use some bacon grease, but not a bunch of sugar(yankee style)....oh yeah.....and a good corn meal.

Probably biscuits, but I'm not really keen on either. I like a really well made biscuit, but there are a lot of shitty biscuits out there.

But this is American where you don't.

You can have biscuits AND cornbread at the same time if you like.
