Fat people are the reason I can't enjoy window seats on airplanes anymore. Seriously I'm afraid I'll get stuck next to one and it'll be too hard to get out to take a piss.

Like skinny people with gas is better?

Stewing in their pew for a 2 hour flight on a full plane is way worse.

Fat people eating fried food that they carry onto a plane drives me up the wall. Every other flight I seem to get stuck with this next to me or in very close proximity. If I wanted to smell like a Popeye's and get elbowed with every bite of food, I'd sit next to your fatass in a booth at Popeye's.

I just don’t understand why when people fly people just go off the walls
6 am flight and you got Billy Bob chowing down on flaming hot Cheetos

What are you talking about? I'm talking about their literal fat blocking me from getting out of my seat. I took a redeye from Vegas to ATL one time and held my piss for over 5 hours. Guess I was too nice to wake the fatty next to me. Never again.

Lucky you, at my age holding my piss 5 min is a good day.

No offense, I am in the south and red as red can get. Not a lot of thin in my neck of the woods.

Sometimes big girls need love too, 5 hours on a plane and you cuould have hit the mile high club a few times.

FWIW, I generally don't carry food on the plane but when you are flying back from Canada the Tim Horton's are duty free.

The kids are the worst part. You wanna be a fat miserable slob? Ok. Pay for extra seatings on planes and shoulder higher premiums for health insurance.

If you’re going to raise your kids to be fat asses like yourself you should be barred from breeding.

as a person on the larger side, about 310 and trying to shed it down, I will say that not all fat people are a drain on resources, insurance and medical crap.

i just had my physical, and aside from a slight touch of high BP, which my doc said is normal for anyone in my age range, my cholesterol, heart, sugar levels and everything were in line, or lower end on where they needed to be - and i was in perfect health, aide from needing to drop some pounds.

I do not drink soda, rarely eat candy anymore and have cut my calories and sugar intake drastically in the last year - and yet it is hard for me to drop the weight and keep it off - more exercise would likely help there I am sure.

from my point of view, you can fat shame me, or judge me a drain on you and everyone else - but it doesn't make it true, and doesn't bother me if you want to be a petty bitch to belittle me.

What most don’t understand is the unreal rates insurance set as not being overweight. It a male is 25% BMI or greater than he is technically overweight. So a 5’10” guy can’t weigh more than 120#. They think we should all look like Tour de France bicyclists. And all those blaming the high insurance rates on overweight people are stupid. That has just been the easiest thing to blame. Do you actually think if obesity was stamped out your rates would fall?

Lol that's not true. I'm 5'10" and weigh 150 lbs. My waistline is 29". There's no way a 5'10" male who weighs more than 120 lbs is classified as overweight on the BMI scale.

I say

You would be surprised what BMI can consider overweight.

BMI is used to broadly define different weight groups in adults 20 years old or older. The same groups apply to both men and women.

Underweight: BMI is less than 18.5
Normal weight: BMI is 18.5 to 24.9
Overweight: BMI is 25 to 29.9
Obese: BMI is 30 or more

169 would actually be the cutoff for a 5'10" male.

I know every year we see articles like according to BMI these celebrities are overweight.

I know Tom Cruise used to be a popular one since he's a little person.

You typed all that and you didn't even hit on our biggest problem. Portion size in America is out of control. I have family in Australia and I host them when they come to visit every few years and anytime we go out to eat they've all been blown away by just how huge our food is and just how much of it we serve.

While it is easy to blame the fat people for being fat, perhaps it is the culture

#1 We have food companies making BILLIONS selling us salt and sugar
#2 We have more processed foods than home made foods
#3 We have commercials showing food 24 / 7 / 365
#4 We have TV and cell phone dinners, not family dinners (slower eating and social interaction)
#5 We have a society cocooning instead of venturing outdoors
#6 We have eliminated corner groceries (shopping for few days) for supermarkets (bulk shopping)

I think someone let their gym membership expire...

You’re a dumbfrick if you think that insurance rates are due to obesity. I worked in the industry for a decade.

They’ll find a way to hold your ankles, frick your arse and take your money. They’re your masters. You’re their bitch. You can’t own anything of substance without tithing the insurance industry. Home. Auto. And the last attempt was requiring citizens to own health insurance.

And I assure you, that’s exactly the way they talk at board meetings.
