Apparently the fine little El Salvadorian mamacita that works in QC has a crush on me. These two old nosey broads pulled me aside today asking me if I'm single and shite, trying to play matchmaker.
She actually speaks perfect English, no accent and is the go to translator in the building, Americanized, so I'm pretty sure she must have come here at a very young age. But Hispanic girls love a gringo that can speak the Spanish.
She already found me on facebook and liked a picture of mine, so I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious
So anyway, what are yalls suggestions?

I’ve used Duolingo on my phone. I need to keep at it more.

I would like to learn Spanish. A lot of my family speaks Spanish. My born and raised-in State, and oldest town in America was founded by Ponce De Leon and the Spanish Conquistadors.
My aunt is from Puerto Rico. My cousin went to UF and met her husband, from Virginia, both studying abroad in Spain. They have three kids, all under age 10, all fluent in Spanish and English. It feels pretty sad, when you’re cousins 7 year old daughter feels smarter than you already, and wears a Harvard t-shirt all the time.
They all tell me, either growing up at a young age learning Spanish along side English from family, and/or actullay spending time in a Spanish speaking country is the best ways to learn.
It’s really hard for someone to become fluent in Spanish in their spare time. My cousin thought she learned and knew a lot of Spanish in her spare time, and she finished second at a good high school in Florida, and studied Spanish at UF, then she got to Spain and siad she learned a little in America on her own, but there’s slang, and different ways of talking in Spanish, especially once you’re integrated in a certain Spanish society.
ETA: TLDR/ it’s hard to learn a language without spending time in a place in which that language is the culture. So for OP specific case.. go talk to her subtlety, and tell her you want to learn Spanish. Could be a good in, and you’ll get more bilangual.

You said your mom is short, dark, and wrinkly so I'm going to guess Italian which explains a lot about your post history honestly.

Well technically I didn't say any of that.
Lebanese though which is probably close enough, just without the tomatoes

I use duolingo. It's not perfect, but I've nearly completed all the lessons and can definitely find my way around Spanish-speaking countries. I even was able to speak to Italians and Brazilians when they didn't speak English. It's a good starting point IMO and it's free.
