State’s should be Lil Dooey’s.

Well, here comes the Tejas Brisket slugfest again

I rarely eat BBQ anywhere unless I or a friend cooked it. I will eat BBQ nachos but that's it.

My gut has got to where I have to be more careful eating it. But as far as BBQ joints goes, none other in Starkville stacks up to Lil Dooey’s for the school-associated history. The have stood the test of time and their catfish plates are good as well.

Rudy's hands down is the most overrated BBQ joint in Texas.

Sassy's is not a bad selection for Fayetteville. There are two locations. The patio on College Ave is greatness, and the waitstaff are generally fit, pretty college girls.
The best BBQ "in town" is probably Wright's BBQ, although it is technically in the adjacent town of Johnson, Arkansas.
It's a half-mile outside the Fayetteville city limits, a few miles north of the campus, and one of those "line out the door at lunch" places.

Also OP, please correct the post to reflect the real Archibald's location.

Maybe for everything except the BBQ

Didn't see any BBQ in any of those photos. Just some sort of weird burnt, Jewish steak looking thing...

Updated Bama and MSU's.
Pick one and I'll fix it.
And just ribbing our TA&M fans. (Pun intended...)

Better choices (and much closer to campus) for Vandy:

Martin's would be my 1st choice

Ohhh you definitely picked the right one for South Carolina. Hite's has amazing barbeque and the fixins to go with it.

I was pretty disappointed with the BBQ in both Oxford and Starkville.
Dunno about oxford but Starkville has Little Dooeys and Pettys which are both pretty good

ITtOD,
Is it Gallitain that runs north out of Nashville and runs parallel to the Interstate?
If so about halfway between Nashville and Goodletsville is a butcher shop with a BBQ place next door. Have you been there and what did you think?
Also they had that place on the hill near the Pinnacle tower but I think that has shut down. Sad but unrelated to BBQ is that old German place near the stadium place has closed but have not been by to confirm.

EKG, is Rudy's the place with the moose on the roof or next door to the moose on the roof?
If so, I liked that place.

I think that is the place on Walton near the original HC high school. Not bad but Red State out near the Scott County line is well worth a visit.

Peg Leg in Nashville is about the best in the state

Yeah... Wright's is the only choice for Fayetteville. Head and shoulders above any others.

Rudy's is terrible. I have no idea why people include then in actual bbq talks.
