A Ranking of America's States, from Least to Most Redneck
We'll start with the least redneck and progress (er, regress, rather) down the list toward the most redneck state in the US of A.

Id move up Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland (western MD is basically West Virginia). Could probably make a case for Florida (and maybe Ohio) to move up as well. There are some redneck folks in those places.

If you get rid of the numbers, you can basically read your list as most liberal state to least liberal.

No they’re rednecks
They just live outside of the NYC Metro area
Since around 80% are in that NYC/LI/Westchester area
The rest of the state are, prob around 5 million people
Which is larger than some of those other states listed

We have a plethora of rednecks, in some ways I'm one myself, but you are ignoring the growth of NW Arkansas. We are, at most, 6th.
