I voted for Perry every chance I had (begrudgingly more often than not.) that also has a lot to do with the fact that the best candidate he faced was Bill White.
he was a great governor no matter what any liberal says. Every metric you can use says he left the state better off than he go it and Texas thrived whole other states suffered in the late 2000's.
But president? Please Lord Jesus.
no.

To be fair we don't have a Rant poly board and posting on the TD side is scary.

I'd rather have Hillary, and I wouldn't even piss on that bitch if she were on fire.

Being the governor of Texas is like taking the coaching reigns of the 60s Celtics. You'd have to be absolutely abysmal to frick it up.
Our state has the ideal economic setup culturally and financially. If Texas were it's own country, our GDP would rank 11th in the world just behind Canada and ahead of Australia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and many other strong world economies.
Yes, there are a couple other states with very strong export power (California being the most obvious). However, when coupled with a lack of income tax and relatively higher wages when compared to cost of living Texas has more domestic spending power and a much stronger economy.

Isn't it an unwritten rule that when you have to choose between two evils, never pick the aggy?

While several cheerleaders have gone on to win the US presidency, pretty sure no Yell Leader ever has?

The only thing Rick Perry is going to do is take a shite and then fall in it.

He's a douchebag and no one outside of Texas likes him. While I completely understand the GOP will never let it happen.... Rand is the sensible choice. Outside of Rand, I like (flame suit engaged), Jeb. He's not the tard that W was and was a damn good governor for Florida. The only thing holding him back is his last name. He's also the only candidate the the Clinton's fear in a general election.
