re: 9/11 Was A Conspiracy!

This is dumb. Have you ever poured gasoline on anything and burnt it? It burns quickly and is done in maybe ten twenty seconds. The metal towers burned for a long time. Metal. Really? That's not even believable at all can't understand why people believe it.

Or in the case of an explosion, a lot of gasoline explodes everywhere, lighting everything combustable on fire in the vascinity. There's always tons of paper, carpeting, plastic, wood, ect in office buildings. In fact, nearly everything but the fireproofing, the structural steel, and the concrete in the stairwells in a building is flammable. With that much combustable material, there was plenty of fuel to keep the fire burning long enough to burn through the fireproofing (which isn't really fire "proof", it can just resist it for so long before it burns through) and heat the columns enough to weaken them until they failed.

Where I think conspiracy theories are valid are not in whether or not the towers were hit by a plane and collapsed as a result (because they certainly were), but how the hijackers managed to get away with it in the first place. Why was Bin Laden to blame? How did he escape the U.S. before? Why did it take us so long to find him? Was it a false flag (think Lusitania)?

Those are legitimate questions. The tower absolutely was hit by airplanes which caused the fire which caused the collapse of those towers. That is fact.

Good question! There are a disturbing number of people like mikey that see conspiracy everywhere, and if you argue against them you're obviously a part of the conspiracy. There are no facts that will convince them of the truth. I'm glad we have the SECRANT to out these nutjobs. I just wish we all knew their real names.

Metal doesnt have to melt to fail structurally dumbass.

A fricking commercial airliner plowed into the side of a structure rising high into the air. Common sense will tell you that with the amount of burning occurring mixed with the explosion and impact of the plane hitting will cause a domino effect as the higher floors begin to fall onto the lower floors. As more and more floors fall the structure begins to free fall and we have ground zero.

Our government is fricked up in a lot of ways, but they wouldn't plant bombs in an office building in order to fake a terrorist attack. If they wanted to they could of just planted the bombs and said Bin Laden planned it and set them off. In other words, who the frick needs an airplane.
