IMO- I would rather face an attacker with a knife while unarmed to a person with a gun while unarmed.
Well, I'd rather be able to face either with my legally owned and concealed cz PO2 9mm loaded with 14 rounds of Defense ammo. Than have to rely on my pocket knife, fist and legs.

I know libtards can't see the logic in that, but that's why you're libtards.
The day that a gun is required to step into a classroom is the last day I work in education. Good luck getting quality educators at that point.

I would bet a good sniper could be the best math teacher you could imagine.

Don't know a helluva lot of Aussies, but the few I do know wish to God they'd had a 2nd Amendment so the govt would have stayed away from their guns. Once it starts to regulate something, the govt. can't stop itself.

Australia went through this a few years back and went surprisingly well.
Australia is well on their way down a slippery slope of censorship and regulation, even to the point now that videogames are banned if they have boobs or too much blood. No thanks.

The pitfall of the graphs are the fact that they include all homicides, and not simply the gun violence ones.
But those people are still dead, right?
What does it matter how they died? Dead is dead unless there is some sort of undead.
ETA: As someone has already said, our country needs to look closely at our current mental health system first. In every case the person doing the shooting was mentally ill and most were prescribed drugs but were off their meds.
Why punish me and something I enjoy because there is no longer a valid mental health system in the country.

A good sniper could probably get better pay then a teacher working elsewhere.

So could most teachers

The problem as I see it, is how do you entice kids to learn something?
It would be hard for a career classroom teacher, that spends her time inside the confines of walls and accepted textbooks and methods.

We already have it.

I'm not proposing a ban on guns. Just trying to stem discussion to prevent school shootings and mass murders.
Homicides are dropping.

Yes, they are all dead. But as it pertains to gun violence, it does matter. Since we are not debating stabbings, the stabbing data should not be included. That is simply sound logic.
Yes, we should examine mental health in this country. It is a taboo issue that should not be taboo.
This conversation reminds me of John Oliver bit.
Comedic relief

So guns get regulated and stabbing deaths rise and you want to ignore this fact. C'mon man!
