Note the photo where she poses and smiles for the photographer while in court.

Synopsis:

A 14 year old girl shot and killed her mother for allegedly taking her cell phone. The girl was a gifted student, 30 ACT in 7th grade, had skipped a grade and the mom was a beloved math teacher at Northwest Rankin High.

After she killed her mom, she texted her stepdad from her mom's phone so she could lay in wait and shoot him. Growing bored, she called a friend, whose father dropped her off. She showed the friend the dead body. The friend panicked and left, and she began playing with the dogs while waiting on her stepdad (all caught on cameras)

When her stepdad arrived, she shot him in the shoulder but he was able to get free and call 911. She took off and flagged down a deputy sheriff about a half mile from her home and turned herself in.

No allegations of abuse, but she was reportedly on SSRIs. She says she was/is hearing voices.

Borderline Personality Disorder is an absolute bitch to deal with and in this case was deadly for the mother.

There was a Law and Order on this. McCoy went after the drug manufacturer.

The last voice she should hear is "Die Bitch!!!" as they pull the lever on Ole Sparky.

Probably.

I can see the initial incident happening due to a psychotic break. But once that's over and she finds out what she did, she should be horrified.

If she's lucid and knows why she's in court, and is still smiling and posing, she just doesn't have a conscience.

Sounds like a smart kid trying to angle for an insanity plea to me.

I mean, she was on SSRIs. I know that's (probably) not a side effect, but who knows what those types of drugs do to young brains.

Maybe, maybe not. But that may not explain all of it though (like the bragging and showing off of the body, the zero remorse, the glee in the courtroom, etc.).

30 ACT at 14 is insane. What a shame and disgusting act. Seems like she would’ve have an incredibly bright future.

Feel like there has to be something more than the phone

i'm no doctor, but seems to me that SSRI's should not be prescribed for teenagers. Doctor's aren't even exactly sure how they work, but hey lets throw some pills at 'em, see what happens...
