re: Poll: Have you seen the movie Glengarry Glen Ross?

I've watched it but only because I took a film course in college. I have watched it since taking the course since it is so damn good.
re: Dear educators, Gen Z here. Could you please teach us like it’s 2026?

TL;DR
Ran it through Copilot
Sounds like we need to spend even more money on "education."

Core Takeaway
Gen Z students argue that higher education is still teaching like it’s 2016, not 2026. Their brains, habits, stress levels, and learning environments have fundamentally changed — especially due to social media, COVID-era schooling, and now generative AI — but teaching practices haven’t kept up. They’re not asking for easier work; they’re asking for different work.
Sounds like we need to spend even more money on "education."

Of course locals are protesting. Their free shite dispensary is closing.
Do these people exist in a society without a bountiful social safety net?

The store would end up making more money if they boycotted it, tbh
Wouldn't this be the case for any store/restaurant/festival?

You sure you want to skip out on one of these sweet bumper stickers and the right to continually patting yourself on the back for "rescuing" a dog?

If we are doing a true-80s callback then there will need to be at least three shower scenes.

Military gets shite on a lot because some folks go in without a plan or path in mind and that will work for some people but not everyone.

On the whole though, Scotland > England.
Currently planning a trip back over there and want to do Ireland (only spent two days there previously) and Scotland then possibly Germany.

Could make a really good budget horror movie based off of this scenario much like Maximum Overdrive which btw had an amazing soundtrack.

I Love Boosters - May 22nd
Posted by bad93ex on 5/14/26 at 5:32 pm
Apparently this is a real movie.
quote:
A fearless crew of inventive young women turns shoplifting into a radical act of defiance. Led by Corvette, they move across Oakland, boosting coveted goods as both survival and protest—challenging a system built on exclusion and excess. They even offer a community service, selling their stolen wares at deep discounts to make fashion accessible to all. When their exploits draw unwanted viral attention and their feud with fashion mogul Christie Smith turns personal, the Boosters plan one final, audacious heist. Joined by unexpected allies wielding supernatural powers and time-bending technology, they discover a chance to ignite revolutionary change.

My general rule of thumb for people going to London for the first time is try to stay west of Tower Bridge and east of Hammersmith and you’ll be just fine. It’s one of my favorite cities in the world if you abide by that simple rule.
We stayed in Waterloo for our first time in London and it was walking distance for everything that I wanted to see. The second time and night before we flew out we stayed in Harlington but ventured out for some fish and chips. Worlds of difference but I've seen everything I have wanted in London and would prefer to stay elsewhere in the UK.
