That’s the only way this thing will work.

The question is what team is willing to part ways with that for draft capital.

I’m starting to think that any trade for a “star” is going to start and end with BI, unless the “star” is forcing their way out

This is the question to ask and I think the potential suspects are (in no order):

Toronto: Targets: Siakam/Anunoby/FVV. Why they'd bottom out? Siakam is clearly not a #1 and FVV and OG are good but not really cornerstones either.

Sacramento: Targets: Fox/Buddy/Barnes. Why? Even though things feel like they're coming together they still weren't good enough to make the Play In.

Minnesota: Target: KAT Why? This is Anthony Edwards' team now.

Washington: Target: Beal Why? It feels like trading Beal is an inevitability.

Cavs: Target: Sexton Why? He already seems available, the question is how well does he fit, if at all.

OG would be really nice for this team. Not sure what it would cost

Don’t think he’s worth the warchest of picks tho he was playing great the last couple weeks or so before his injury

OG is not going to be traded

Siakam is the one who may be dealt

OG isn't on his rookie deal anymore but is only on a 4/72

Siakam got a contract almost double that

OG is also better and 3 years younger

That’s a double edged sword though. OG is the one that could actually get value for them if they decide to blow it up.

Siakam won’t get them jackshit, and especially now with his injury. They might have to give value to get off his contract.

i think FVV would be their hopeful "haul" guy, especially with flynn showing he could play at the end of last year

who they draft will be telling, b/c it likely will be another combo G or athletic 6-8 guy

They can get something for FVV but I don’t think it’s THAT much.

i don't see the point in dealing the 23-year old budding star at a super rare position and very reasonable price for picks

you deal those guys to upgrade, not downgrade

Honestly after the playoff series Joe Harris had we probably can get him for cheap. His contract isn't so bad neither.

Do they look at BI as an upgrade or a downgrade?

ETA: some framework of BI for Anunoby, and Kira + 10 + 1 more pick for Sexton

Would give you a ball handling guard who can shoot off the dribble and a wing stopper next to Zion.

Whoever we land.. I just hope it’s an actual stud, a needle mover, a wow factor ‘holy shite’ type trade.

We have plenty of ‘good’ players, need another superstar…and I think we all need cheering up with this team and the wave of optimism and positivity it would create.

Maybe it will be Cade and come cheap!

That would be a nice trade. I think fvv would be perfect for the pels.
I said it last year.

I just wonder what that trade would look like

This.
Look at the teams left sans Clippers. One super star, a great robin, and a shite ton of depth and shooters. And great coaches

Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie plans to decline his $12.3 million player option for the 2021-2022 season and become an unrestricted free agent, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Dinwiddie

Nets can go over to sign him.

I'd love to sign and trade for him.
