The best QB in the portal is still currently available, they’re making him say no, everyone else left they could get in an instant as they are all about the same, so until Sam officially tells you no thanks, you wait it out.
There are other QB’s out there better than Clark who we could get, but they will also want to start and would wait to see what happens with Sam. They know if they sign on and Sam comes in they have no chance at starting.

Played over 700 snaps, didn’t allow a TD despite being targeted a bunch. Can’t be that bad as a 3rd-4th corner, likely will get a starting job somewhere though

He didn’t come here to overpay players though. Yes he may have more money to work with here, but you don’t want to be throwing 5 million at one kid to maybe get 8 sacks from him. If you have 40 million to work with you’re putting 1/8 of your money into one player out of 105, and still haven’t paid a QB.

Not sure what you’re trying to get at, but there are 3 players on this list that shot the ball the way we needed them to, and that was JJ, Lonzo and CJ. BI did have that one year. JV was a decent fit at the center spot. Everyone and their mom can tell you this team to be successful needs 4-5 high level 3 point shooters that can shoot 38-42% on 7-8 attempts per game, and you don’t have to spend a shitload of money to get them (guys like Matt Ryan).
It seems the only ones that can’t see that is everyone that gets hired in this organization, and fans that just want to find any excuse to bash Zion.
