he had to taunt him

I don’t think he was taunting him at all.

I have been thinking about picking this one up. Have heard good things. However, I need to drink some bottles first.

It might be my favorite shelfie, it’s definitely my favorite sub 100 proof shelfie.

I’ve never been transferred, but it’s ridiculous to you someone might take a transfer for a promotion?

For me, it would have to be a huge amount of money, and it would have to be somewhere that I already wanted to live.

I’m not picking up my life and moving to Houston for 50k or some bullshite

This! I remember when we tried to get our first kid into St Cecilia in Broussard, they checked our activity at Sacred Heart to see what/if we put envelopes in the offering every week. They don't come right out and say, but it ends up mattering when it comes to whether your child gets accepted or stays on that waiting list.

We went through the application process for Lafayette schools recently, it’s stated that “active” parishioners are higher on the acceptance “tiers” than non-parishioners or non-active parishioners. Basically you have to contribute $500/yr to be considered active. I knew this before we started the process so we were “actively” contributing members of our top 2 parishes for a year before we started the admissions process.

I'd be broke if I had to send my kids to St. Pius

Sounds like you’re paying ~7k per kid, it’s only ~9k at St Pius. That extra 4k is going to make you broke?

I have 1 at Cathedral Carmel (Catholic school) in Lafayette and it’s roughly 9k per year.

Old Forester 1910

Is what I would suggest for a bourbon. Only 93 proof, approachable, but still good quality whiskey.

I think it's also entirely reasonable that there are neighborhoods in the US you would like much more that are not ghetto adjacent and you have to worry about getting carjacked at a red light.

Call me naive, but I lived Uptown for over 4 years and I was never once worried about being carjacked at a red light in that neighborhood. I’m aware that it has happened, but it’s not something I was ever worried about.

And, I’m not saying that there isn’t a neighborhood that I could like more, but I’m decently well traveled and I haven’t found one yet.

Be real, people. New Orleans is an absolute dump, riddled by crime and poverty. I’m a huge fanboy of all that it offers in the way of architecture, food, and uniqueness, and none of it overcomes the shittiness of the place.

Uptown New Orleans is my favorite neighborhood in the US. That’s not that say it’s without flaws, but I find it hard to categorize that area as a dump. It is definitely too ghetto-adjacent and the risk of crime is too high for an area as nice as it is though.
I can’t imagine working a job, and being “transferred” to another state and just being like, “okay, yeah I’m going to pick up my entire life and move to a different state because my company said that’s what I need to do”.

It just seems like such a ridiculous concept to me.
It was Tim Duncan 100/100 times until Kobe died. No one had Kobe in their top 10 (outside of obvious Laker homers) before he died.

Absurd notion here. Responsible adults with families don’t go off the radar

This is the absurd notion.

You never fly? Or, go into areas with no cell service?

People are too dependent on their phones.
Sam Burns is also tied with him.

I enjoy eating by myself when traveling for work. Always sit at the bar though, table would be weird

This, it would be a little weird to sit at a table alone, but I don’t mind going to dinner and having a couple drinks while eating at the bar.
I mow with a bag attachment on my mower and put the clippings in my yard waste can.

You can give Motrin and Tylenol at the same time.

Who's to say this couldn't have been the situation as well?

If it was that easy the would’ve just shown proof that they reside in the district and this would be over. They can’t show proof of that, because it doesn’t exist.
To add to this thread, I just asked chat gpt to time me while I ran a mile, then about 10 seconds later I told it I was done and asked how long it took. It told me that it took me 7 minutes and 45 seconds, when I called it out for giving me the wrong time it admitted to just making up a number

IF AI takes eliminates entry-level positions in some near future, where will the expertise reside to "final check" the AI's work? Those folks exist today, presumably as they have the experience and knowledge base to check and verify the AI code/product.
