Outside of that, in order…

1. OLB/Edge
2. WR
3. Guard
4. DL
5. ILB (Stutsman is unproven, Werner isn’t the future and Demario is getting older.)

I'd add
4. TE
7. CB

I'd prefer to spend the money on someone like Alija Vera-Tucker at OG instead of draft. Our early rd picks need to be Edge, WR, DL, TE. Draft CB/ LB and maybe trade for one of the 2.

If Demario stays another year then we can hold off on LB until next draft honestly. At that point you hope that LB will be the biggest hole.

I legit get pissed off seeing dumb suckers at the game man. STAY YOUR DUMBASS AT HOME.

Do you even Courtside Club bro?

our standard healthy lineup

Zion

Yes understood. Now imagine constantly trashing our best players for not being good enough but actually being retarded enough to think that the 10th best player/ end of the bench on a team of under achieving players will ever make any difference or matter in the big picture.

"Zion isn't good enough"
"Poole is Eric Gordon"
"Trade Murray he doesn't have a leg"
"We wasted assets on Queen"

But but there's a solution! We know how to get to the promised land of success! Just build the team around Jose Alvarado and 6th man Herb Jones!

A guy that doesn't touch the floor on a contending team and a guy who is best off the bench on a contending team that's where we draw the line! That's what we will defend with our life!

Fears/ Queen/ Trey/ Murray/ Bey/ Karlo are the only players that should be untouchable at the deadline if we are a serious franchise. Big if.
quote:

He wasn’t taking that deal here, he wanted to GTFO and we got nothing in return (both players are gone).

Actually we chose Trey for 25mil and Herb for 23mil instead of BI for 45mil. And we got Poole/ Bey. Poole and CJ would get close the same in a trade so that's a wash.

If we can extend Bey and keep him for another 4-5 years then we essentially traded BI's salary to secure Trey/ Herb/ Bey for several years.
quote:

Genius Dumars took on an extra year of Poole

If CJ walked at the end of the year then we lose 30mil because we are already over the salary cap. Having Poole means that we can take in an extra 30mil in a trade. Not to mention his value will still be higher than CJ's even if its 2nds.
quote:

I remember before the season people on here were already penciling him out of the lineup.

He has the 9th most minutes on a team that plays a 10 man rotation with a 32min player out indefinitely and another 30min player that's missed enough games to give him his current minutes that are 9th. He should not be in our standard healthy lineup.

We really have our core (9) players
Murray/ Fears
Poole/ Herb
Trey/ Bey
Zion
Queen/ Missi

Then you have:

(2) playable expendables
Jose/ Looney

(2) Experiments
Peavy
Karlo

(2) Just there to be there
Jordan
Hawk

I'd much rather have a top 3 pick than 6th.

We can really frick up the draft pick with wins vs the 3 win Falcons and Dolphins. Its hard to hope that we lose but also that Shough balls out while doing it.

Saint play: Jets/ Dolphins/ Titans

Browns play: Titans/ Raiders

Jets play: Dolphins/ Saints

Raiders play: Browns/ Giants

Aubrey with the cowboys could probably kick 75

Aubrey and Little from the Jags can both go 75.

Hard to take you seriously if you think we would get Kuminga AND a 1st for just giving up Herb.

Kuminga and GSW could not agree to a long term deal. He signed a 2 year deal and they have been openly looking to move him. Its not crazy if they like Herb that much and don't see eye to eye with Kuminga. It would be at worst Kuminga/ Herb straight up.

They signed him so he wouldn't walk for nothing and so they could make other moves in trades if needed.

I have no clue how that value plays out whether its Kuminga + 1st for Herb or Herb + 1st for Kuminga.
quote:

Only way they can play together is with a legit stretch 5. Not sure if you can also play Herb with both of them in lineup

Trade Herb for Kuminga and a 1st.

Trade: Zion/ Herb/ Poole/ Jose/ Hawk

Build on: Fears/ Trey/ Queen

Extend: Bey/ Karlo

Rehab value and trade in the future: Murray/ Missi

quote:

Something like Tari Eason for Jose

Would be awesome but I doubt it. I'd expect it to be more like ORL for 2-3 2nds type trade. Would love to get Anthony Black somehow.
Nets: Zion/ Hawk

GSW: Jose/ Herb

Pels: Claxton/ Kuminga
26' BKN/ 31' NYK /32' DEN/ 32' BKN/ 32' GSW/ 29' GSW swap
quote:

Itd be better if either would shoot 3s

I think Queen can and will. He just needs to develop more and we need to implement schemes for him on offense.
quote:

Zion trade thought of the day.

CHA: Zion/ Jose/ Hawk/ Claxton

Nets: G Williams/ C Sexton/ 27' MIA 1st

GSW: Josh Green/ Looney/ 27' DAL 1st

Pels: K Knueppel/ P Connaughton/ Kalkbrenner/ Kuminga/ 26' CHA

Find me one respected NBA media type that praised Dumars and the trade.

Find me one that wants us to succeed and wants Zion to stay here.

which really looks worse?

Thank you for this demonstration.

I’d extend neither. I don’t think either fit the team needs for their price tag and role. Jordan Poole has been a big bummer.

Idk I'd keep Murray and Fears together. That's a nasty duo to run the team and for a very good cost. If Murray looks good/ healthy back from injury and wants to be here then we can extend him for a slight discount since he's coming off a big injury. Murray is still arguably the best player on our team from an overall impact.

I'd trade Zion and Poole. Maybe decide on (1) of Herb/ Trey depending on roster construction after Z/ Poole trades and what we can get for either.

Keep Murray, extend Bey, build with Trey/ Fears/ Queen.

Trade Zion, Poole, Herb, Looney,
Both of Poole/ Murray will be up for extension's soon. We will most likely need to pick 1 or trade both. I'd rather keep Murray and trade Poole. If we trade Z then we possibly trade both. You have to keep Murray until atleast next years mid season trade deadline to recoup value. DJ comes off the bench this year unless he looks that much better than Fears/ Poole. He should be that much better while healthy so we will see. But 20min off the bench this season until later in the year.

Now we just have to develop and build around them and trade Zion for future 1sts or a good young assets.

Trade Z and end up with Kon + 26' and I don't even care about what else if anything.

But this thread is ridiculous. This start in no way proves that it was a good trade, it's yet to be seen seeing as we are only 8 effing games into the season,
To be fair, its just as ridiculous to say its a bad trade. I think that's the main point. Both sides can be ridiculous but one is ridiculously pessimistic and one is ridiculously optimistic so which really looks worse?

effing

This is a family board, no need for this kind of language.

And seeing as you pumped up Zion, Trey, and Poole as all three possibly making the all star game and the Lakers not being as good as us and us almost being as good as Denver all the while calling everyone who didn't agree with you a fricking retard all offseason I'll go ahead and not ever give two shits about any thing you say from here on out.

That's just rude bro. And also not the reason I called anyone a retard. Plenty of reasons, but that's not one of them..

Any 1 of Z/ Poole/ Trey did have a chance and maybe still has a chance to be an all star. But yes its been underwhelming and disappointing so far. That's why I'm cool with juet moving Z. shite I'm kinda down to rebuild with Fears/ Queen (hint the Kon trade).

I still think we are a better built team than the Lakers. My comments about Denver were before they traded for Cam J who I have been wanting for 2 years. So yes Denver is for sure better.

At the end of the day we will know in few years if that trade was the 2nd worst ever (it will never eclipse Nico's trade) or it was a genius move or it's actually neutral.

That's what I said about Dyson.

Realistically Queen has a chance to finish 5-10 in a redraft by the end of the year. If your pick is also at worst 5-10 then there's nothing to be upset about.

You can't get upset at the Pacers pick because Hali going out was just fricked and the reality is that the only reason they are this bad is because they have their pick back. If they didn't have their pick they may have kept Turner, added other players, etc and still have been more competitive.
