Going to Florida would be an error in my opinion.

Coaches love the bright lights and the big city (metaphorically).

And I think agents get excited because they get paid on movement and failure.

He’ll have a far shorter leash than in Mizzou. He can get a statue here by making the playoffs. If he has his first three years in Florida like he’s had here, he might not survive.

If he didn’t hire an OC, he would’ve ended his FBS career here. More than likely.

Has there been any word on Damon Wilson's health?

Florida's fanbase willfully ignores what every coach not named Spurrier and Meyer has done with the supposed advantages Florida provides. Spurrier took complete advantage of Bama amd UGA being down. Hell, Spurrier owes Texas for his lone Natty. If not for Gene Dahlquist's Opus in the B12 championship game, Nebraska would likely have won 4 NCs in a row.

Meyer had a great thing going until Saban made him say Uncle.

The rest of their history is meh or tainted by sanctions.

If Drink wants to ride that train, more power to him.

Most SEC programs (not named Alabama) are victims of their fans own high expectations.

Auburn is where it is because their fans think they should regularly be competing for national championships.

Texas finally found a decent coach able to navigate that shite show. But he could easily have picked up a couple of Ls versus Kentucky and Miss St and he might have been shifted to the hot seat.

Tennessee is full of delusional fans. An 8-4 season and they might be ready to fire their coach.

Arkansas thinks they are still a national power waiting in the wings.

LSU is nuts. Florida is just behind. A&M thinks they can buy a championship. OU is in the bargaining phase of grief.

I wouldn't say that. I think coaches that love to coach want to take it as far as they can go. I can't blame a guy for trying to get to his peak, even with risking it all he built here.

I am old enough to remember when Pinkel was in the conversation for the Ohio State job coming off the Chase Daniel era. I also remember that he went further than Eli (Number 1 ranking) and he was closer to Ohio State's 5th option.

All said I dont think Drink is the guy UF throws their bag at and i dont think he wants to be 2nd or 3rd choice. I think they would hire Fisch before they hire Drink.

Yeah. I think they would have to make him top 5 highest paid coaches in college football.

I think he’s roughly 10th (which is bananas to start with). He probably gets a raise even if he stays at Mizzou which I’m fine with (only because it’s not my money). But in a rational world, he doesn’t get paid Sarkisian money or Ryan Day money.

Woof. With eligibility expiration, portal departures, new faces and games vs FSU, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, UGA and Vandy post Pavia, the new guy doesn't have the easiest opening act. They could easily go 5-7 next year, especially if they aren't better in the trenches.

Confidence in Moore and Gleeson, Nuke?? No not really.

But, given the big number of plays from several games where we saw open receivers that Pribula apparently was not looking for or just could not see, I have hope that Zollers can maybe execute the offense better.

And, in both of our losses, there did not have to be a huge jump in execution to turn those Ls into Ws. Hoping Zollers can give us that lift. And the D can keep playing as well as it has. And the coaches start playing Burks less in coverage.
