It’s too early in the season for you to be a puss. Just give it one more game and you will be eating crow

Sorry you feel that way.

I'm going to wait at least a few more games before I fold my tent.

And, I'm NOT paying attention to our forum "experts" either.

Too bad.

I’m not folding a tent. I’m just providing my opinion. I’ll still be pulling for them. Just adjusting my personal expectations.

I know you'll still be rooting. I wouldn't ever question that.

I'm gonna hang in there with optimism a bit longer.

This offense is on the cusp of being an absolute road grader running the ball. The oline is ahead of last season run blocking and the WRs and TEs are sustaining blocks.

Noel is half a yard per carry better and has 30 fewer yds on 12 fewer carries than Cody did at this point in the season. Cody also played 5 games to Noel's 4 through the end of Sept.

Im not sure what to think of Carroll yet. He looked pretty ordinary the last two games. He does all the small things though and that's what matters to Luper.

I think Lacy fumbled his way to a redshirt and it's unfortunate. He has the highest ceiling in that room right now.

I don't think anyone predicted Missouri to be a running team with a good defense, but that's what they are after 4 games. If Jones gets a simliar progression out of this year's line, Noel may do something special. Luper has coached an All SEC RB every year but 2022. When the line play is solid, his #1 is elite.

They can go 10-2 playing that kind of ball provided the penalties are curbed. If the penalties are part of their identity, maybe not.

Mizzou was questionable and lucky last year at this time as well, so don't give up.

Good stuff Navy.

All Cook has to be is Stetson Bennett (2021, 2022) ... game manager, don't turn the ball over, good decision making, occasional 2 or 3 TD game ...if the running game holds up.

Stetson should not have been a Heisman candidate (should have gone to Hendon Hooker ... though Stetson did step up his game in SEC Championship game ...)

If not ... the defense is fun to watch

I think Cook has to do more with his legs than Bennett needed to. Bennett placed the ball better overall and threw a better deep ball. Cole Cubelic noted that Cook was waiting too long vs Vandy which is what I saw as well. He had throws he could have made earlier on the other side of the field and he had defenders with their backs turned to him in the second level. He threw late incompletions instead of moving the chains with his legs. It has been noted on a couple of threads but Cook didn't look like the same runner vs Vandy. Maybe the staff told him not to sell out if the play wasn't there. It sure looked like he was avoiding contact on those designed runs vs Vandy which to me suggests an upper body injury.

Hopefully BC beats Louisville at home. It will help a lot if BC is in their conference championship.

Buffalo needs to beat Toledo at home.

No offense, 808, but I hope this is a thread that gets bumped when we get selected in December.

Not sticking to the running game in the first half on 2nd down was bad play calling. Cook is doing so many small things wrong right now and they kept putting the game in his hands.

The defense was a mess today.

With the protection cook is getting they should be running shorter routes.Cause he doesn't have time and they're still running long routes
