Funny, so did I but it's an Omaha guy. I'm 100% expecting him to go to NU. They are squeezing everything they can out of that Mozee hire. He will get the 1.5 million total NIL package also because they really have no other talent to pay for besides Raola.

Seems like a nice place to die and never be heard from again.

Mizzou is loaded at DE so no sour grapes from me. Nwanieri is not Wingo. Wingo showed his skills his Freshman year and then followed his HS coach. Nwanieri took 38 snaps with Darris Smith and Joe Moore out. Following Mozee to a program that sucked even with a gift of a schedule is not going to help develop him but it's easier than watching Williams and Brown surpass him.

This makes the Hilson signing seem "not so out of nowhere." I think Drink may have sensed an imbalance in the force.

We're loaded with backups, desperately need a starter, and not sure Williams was that.

Smith could be that starter, but not sure at this point.

Mozee gets a couple years of nice salary as a position coach and then bounces around between a few jobs after he has no other recruits to bring with him. I guess it’s kinda like hitting the lottery.

I'm assuming Young and Smith are starters. Batoon does the Big DE and the fast DE thing.

They were all fired last year. It's why Kelly stole our DC.

I don’t think Mozee can get what the DeSmet coach got. Steeples is now a senior analyst for Iowa State. Probably making about the same as Ofodile is making coaching Festus high school.

Kelly will be an important part of that rotation. He is a lot for a DT to contend with in the run game and TE can't handle him solo.

Hope he changes his mind and stays. He could develop into a nice player

$1.5 is a lot of money to spend on a player who played in 2 games. He will get the same or a little than what he is getting at Mizzou. He might even get less

It would be foolish for a school to pay a transfer that kind of money without proven experience. Any school would have to know he would make an impact year 1 or they could be stuck paying an average player $1.5 million for 4 years.

He will get the package not based on playing ability but because of perception. NU lost both DE starters to the portal. Nwanieri puts alot of positive spin on their situation.

Also Nwanieri has 4 years of eligibility. A 1 million dollar NIL package over 4 years isn't that costly. NIL money is paid monthly so his check is about $20k a month. And he is the only big expenditure on the defense.

Nebraska is a "C" hair away from desperation. Rhule has to work out. They keep having to restock the team, their talent level is on par with Minnesota and Iowa and coaching is rag tagged at best. Nwanieri means much more than on field play.

He will claim he taught Chris Jones everything he knows. I'm actually surprised Dave Merritt didn't get a NU job when his son flipped to NU.

Good place for him then.

Cornpeople are desperate and they suck.

If Raiola wasn’t pulling up with Mahomes cosplay, his play getting worse each week wouks have faded him to irrelevancy. No one’s knows his name if not for that.

And you wanna join that desperate bunch? NE will never be competitive in the BIG. That conf gonna be run by Oregon from now on. They’ll never even be good enough for an at large.

Agreed. They’d pay $500k just to get the illusion of signing a 5* for the fans perception.
