SEC Nation coming back to COMO this weekend; too bad it's an 11am start. My prediction is a there will be a lot of mis-informed posts on the rant next weekend blasting Mizzou fans for not showing to the set as fans need to head into the game mid show. They are at least putting the set outside Mizzou Arena closer to the stadium. (Note the parking heads up for anyone in those lots that traffic may be a mess)

No way this game should an 11am kickoff.

There is NOTHING better than an 11AM win in a big game. You get to hear everyone talk about it all day long the rest of the day in all the other SEC games.

Why not have them set up inside the stadium like Fox does with Big Noon kickoff?

I thought about that too, but not sure there is really room - although we do have wider sidelines than most. Probalby not in either end zone though, especially with the construction. The show literally ends when the game kicks off so they would have to dismantle the set really fast or really scale back the set. .

They will have more space for people and are closer to the tailgates. The crowd should be the largest ever. A lot of space was taken up by equipment trailers before the kU game because they couldn't put them anywhere else. They have quite a bit of room to the east depending on where they set the stage up.

They're probably going to set up in section 122, or wherever that adventure seeking coonass "sits" in.

I chuckled out loud while on a zoom call. Well done.

That adventure junkie douche has the worst schtick.

I actually think it could be an extra edge for Mizzou.

We've done a million of those. How often does Alabama?

I don't get how a matchup with 2 ranked teams gets such a lousy time slot.

Time slot decision was made in July.

That's odd many games have flex slots. And this one doesn't.

i dont have all the preseason stuff in front of me but from my recollection, the last 2 years the "flex" has only been an hour or less based on the final channel for the game. Like if you got ABC, kickoff would be 2:30pm but if you got SECN, kickoff could be 3 or 3:30pm. I dont think they have had the option of moving games for the last 2 years. You knew before the season which games were slot 1 (noon or earlier), slot 2 (afternoon) or slot 3 (evening) and there has been no option to move games between slots like we used to.

Interesting. I looked at the schedule for other SEC games last week. And some of them had flex slots of 2:30 or 7:00.

That only happens with the bama and Georgia games.

But they dont see us as a potential big draw. Just go look at the releases back in july. Only the games that were preseason expectation to be "huge" games have a "flex" option between time slots. 90% of the games do not have an option to change time slots.

EDIT: Having said that, we do actually have 2 flex games this year: LINK

Vandy and A&M.

They should have more flexibility - but I get that some people need to plan that far out.
