Yes, winning cures all. But that is looking to be our only card to play, if that even happens.

And this is also why Odom needs to run the table. Anything less and there is no sign of us being able to pull in a decent class.

Only ONE official visit is setup. That may change, but pretty telling.

The Missouri 10 are just about all out of the picture. We might get 1, maybe as many as three. Perkins just committed to OU, and Trout pulled us off his Top 5.

Hearing STL HS coaches saying Cornell Ford is the only face they see.

The Alabama contingent has evaporated. James Foster and Cam Taylor have decommitted. La'Dedric Jackson,Tank Jenkins and Alfred Thomas no longer considering us.

We could also lose commitments from Mike Ruth and Harry Ballard.

3 Players from Gwinnett County that held Mizzou offers have a close relationship with D. Mason, that’s gone.

Daniel Parker and Chad Bailey are now soft verbals.

There isn't any positive to report right now.

Why worry about recruiting right now? 1 of 2 things will happen.
Either Mizzou wins and recruiting will pick up. or Mizzou loses fires BO, hires a new coach and recruiting will pick up.

not necessarily, depends on the coach. And he will be getting a very late start. and will have to put together a staff. Which is why hiring a new coach generally means rebuild

the fact that recruiting absolutely sucks right now is a not a good thing

Exactly.

Even worse if we go with a no-name hire.

It’s very rare for a new coach to not improve recruiting.

I’m not worried about it. As I think 1 of the 2 scenarios take place.

BoDumb too focused on not losing his job for recruiting.

That is really only true bigger name programs. If you look at Mizzou sports, historically new coaches don't get a bump. As far as I know, there are only 2 exceptions to this for Mizzou: 1) Quin Snyder and 2) Cuonzo Martin.

There was no immediate bump for Pinkel, Larry Smith or Barry Odom.

Because kids are committing now. Not two months from now.

This shittastic season may turn around. Our shittastic recruiting isn’t going to. No one will be on the board when we finish the season at 5-7 or whatever awful record is needed to keep BO.

Maybe for the class of 2019 we can garner some recruiting momentum.

True Mizzou has never got a player to flip, and never had a player flip late.

I don’t think BO is back with 5 wins.

Just bad timing. Early signing period was supposed to help programs like Mizzou as it would keep the larger programs from poaching in late January. With higher recruits not considering Mizzou and the impact 3 stars securing their spots on Dec 20th, what will be left?

The new signing period will force AD's to fire coaches earlier to get recruits to hold off from signing on Dec 20th.

Ballard reaffirmed his commitment. So we are good there, for now anyway.

Just have to win games, or don't and hire a new coach.

It is very hard to see it be worse for who ever follows BOredom.

Being optimistic is not allowed on this board. Of course a strong finish to the season will provide some positive recruiting momentum.

Would five stars start fighting over spots? No. Would we be able to fill up with some quality prospects that could develop? Of course.

The early signing day for one.

Kinda changes the timeline for some of these guys.

Especially when a recruit has a Coach like Saban telling him he’d better sign now because that offer might not be there come February.
