There's a reason Mizzou only has a .3 chance of making it. 5 guaranteed spots and Notre Dame, big 10 will get 3 or 4 total because their scheduling worked out and no one saw Indiana coming. Same in the ACC with SMU and Miami. That leaves 3 total SEC teams max. Assuming Texas takes the SEC championship. That leaves 2 SEC slots. So UGA or UT after their game, Bama has OU and Auburn so their in, Ole Miss is in good shape even with an A&M implosion, there just isn't enough spots.

Mizzou has to win out, Notre Dame has to lose 2, SMU needs to lose 2 and beat Miami in the ACC championship. Nothing can be done about the Big 10, they scheduled perfectly. Also it would be nice for BC to win 2 in the ACC. Also can someone beat BYU please? Then K State can play them in the championship.

Basically everyone sends 1 team, except Big10 and SEC, Notre Dame falls off the map, and you've created a spot for 10-2 Mizzou.

Mizzou winning out, getting a lesser opponent in a bowl, beating them and going 11-2 without a play-off appearance would be the most Mizzou thing ever. The best of the rest.

Unfortunately in the SEC what's the solution? Every year will be a bloodbath. And every year there are gonna be teams like BYU, SMU or Indiana having great seasons from lesser conferences. ND will always get a spot. And some people want a 9 game conference schedule to make things worse.

Only on the rant can a discussion about the backup QB who has played one quarter of competent football blossom into side discussion about a playoff run.

In that one quarter though Pyne led the team to three touchdowns. The team converted many third downs against a good Oklahoma defense. He got two of the first downs with his legs.

Drew Pyne appears to be a gamer ( in that quarter ) and if South Carolina doesn't pile on the points early, if they let this team hang around, it might cost them.

I'm holding out some hope too, but the defense has to show up big time to get the win. SC is legit.

Have any of you noticed the weirdness of the Mizzou-South Carolina games over the years? This is why I have hope for Mizzou to get a win over South Carolina.

I started only eating light meals before those Pinkel vs. Spurrier nail biter games to prevent an upset stomach. I am still taking that precaution.

Oklahoma is a pick 6 away from wearing the sombrero in conference play. That was an awesome win Saturday but don't confuse it with OU being a good football team.

They are nowhere near a good team but they have a very good defense. Everyone should be thrilled about what the offense started to do do as the game went on.

The only thing to be reserved about is Noel. He looked OK but had very few touches.

With Cook, I'm celebrating it as a frick ou but man we suck.

Without Cook I will take a win against Idaho St and be happy.

Then there should be nothing for Mizzou to worry about as just about everything is meh. They are top 15 to top 25 in just about every ranking/metric out there.

OU will be lucky to be in the top 30 in defensive SP+ after their next two games. They aren't good, especially the secondary. There were open receivers everywhere in the first half. Given the 4 turnovers, 3 punts and coinciding field position, needing a scoop and score to win with 30 seconds left isn't inspiring.

South Carolina's defense is better at every level than OU. There's plenty to be worried about.

The O-line has to have their best game of the year. Hell, everyone does.

50 rushing attempts with Roberts getting the bulk of the carries.
