If I remember correctly, you and I are from the same hometown. I don't make it back that way too often, but I will be back there for about a week for Christmas.

If you want to meet and drink a cold one, I'll buy you a beer at Public House. Everyone on this site is anonymous but you are one of the posters I would want to drink a few with and shoot the bull.

Hey man. I was just there today. Had to visit the hospital about some bidness.

Had a Maid Rite, said hello to my classmate and owner Brad and picked up a pie from Sice of Pie. I'm in CO til the 28th. You gone before I'm back?

Depends. Might stay until the 1st. Possibly leave the 29th to go to Colorado for a week so that the wife can see her best friend that lives outside of Denver.

The Public House's APA is actually pretty decent. My wife likes the strawberry wheat. And the apple pie with the sauce at Slice of Pie is legit.

On a distantly related note. I drank a Public House Revelation Stout last night. It was yummy.

Revelation stout is good, but i prefer IPAs...i like beer like i like my women. With some bitterness. For a little brewery, I give them credit for putting out some quality stuff. The taproom is small but has a good vibe.

Men don't say "yummy." We say "fricking good," "quality" or if you're hip sucker from way back "outta sight!"

One exception: Peppermint latte with whipped cream. And you would say, "Soooooooo yummy!"

You sound like a Busch Light drinker.

REAL men drink craft beer, not that watered down piss water.

And when you drink 335 calorie beers, yes, they taste yummy.

I'm a malt guy. But IPAs are good with food.

The only ones I can't stand are Saisons and Sours. Yuck.

Not many of those around. Love them. The town next to where I grew up has one. I have never seen another one. Now I'm craving a maid rite.

Real men break down food with the teeth and spit the good lord provided.

We find satisfaction in our ability to protect and sustain life; not indulging in palate-pleasers.

At some point you should ask yourself, why do you like getting headaches?

A-B and other macro breweries add rice to their beers, because it's a cheaper grain.

It's also the reason for hangover headaches.

You switch to a full body craft brew, even the ones at triple the alcohol content, absolutely no headache.

Its not 100% to blame for hangovers. other factors go into it. Hell I still get hangovers off of craft beers as well.

I asked that question directly to a brewmaster at the St. Louis A-B brewery.

He confirmed rice causes headaches.

So if you drink beer with rice in it, it will be the cause for headaches.

You want to stick with the evil empire, drink Michelob, no rice in it.

Strange, I drink at least one craft beer everyday. NEVER have headaches anymore.

Rice isn't the only thing that causes headaches. Alcohol causes blood vessels to expand which leads to headaches.

You're part right. Alcohol can lead to headaches, without proper hydration. You drink too much beer (w/o rice) and not enough water, yes, you will get a headache.
